I loved the personal interaction with Mario, Manuela, and their dog Pajamas. I thoroughly enjoyed my times with their family! It was not just a place to stay for one week - it was a very warm personal experience to be treasured. I was by myself, and they made me totally comfortable offering, advice, friendship, and being there for me for absolutely anything. I felt a bit guilty, as for several days I was the only guest at the property and I had them all to myself. From Mario lighting the fireplace and us enjoying our talks together to Manuela sharing her life with me -all experiences will forever be memorable and cherished. Their nearby restaurant run by Carlos (Manuelas marito) is excellent and casual. Villa La Lodola itself is comfortable, quiet, uniquely and personally decorated, and in a good position for exploring many of the areas hidden treasures.
I had to leave. That I did not like. Everything else was wonderful.

I cannot say enough good words about this incredible property - everything was fantastic! The owners Mario and Manuela are so incredibly welcoming and friendly, our 4 night stay was an absolute highlight of our Honeymoon. The villa and surrounding grounds are stunning, with a lovely breakfast every morning. The pool is perfect temperature. The beds are super comfy and made new everyday. It was nice to chat to the other guests, I think there is 4 or 5 rooms in total.
