The history, the location and the room.
It was very humid inside, as expected though.

the room was unique. it was a well designed and comfortable cave dwelling. the breakfast that was included with our price was great too. we got to see the owner Maria teresa and she showed us the hotel while explaining to us what she went through to design and build such a beautiful hotel.

Lovely atmosphere, spacious room and a very comfy bed. Could not be better placed to explore Matera.
Coffee at breakfast was not the best I’ve had - surprising for Italy!
