I stayed at Hotel Kryb i Ly Kro in Denmark for six nights, and while the hotel has some genuinely positive qualities, my overall experience was mixed — mainly due to the breakfast situation.
The hotel itself has charm and character, with a traditional Danish atmosphere that feels cozy and inviting. The staff were polite and generally helpful, and the location was convenient, especially if you’re traveling by car — free parking and easy access to nearby areas were definite pluses. The indoor pool and sauna were also nice touches, offering a bit of relaxation after long days.
Unfortunately, the breakfast was a major disappointment throughout my entire stay. For six consecutive mornings, the selection never changed — not even slightly. The same limited items were offered daily, with very little variety. The bacon was particularly poor: old, hard, and nearly impossible to bite into. The vegetable options were minimal, served in very small portions, and lacked freshness. For a hotel of this standard and price point, the lack of rotation, quality, and creativity in the breakfast buffet was surprising and frustrating. It felt more like a cost-cutting measure than a guest-focused offering.
