This is a quirky family owned small hotel, perfect for those looking for something else than your standard chain hotel. Built in 1902 as a family home, and converted to a hotel in the 80s. The building, interior and eccentric decor appear as from 100 years ago. Thanks to extensive renovations, everything works well, and all the mod cons are there. The staff is very professional and friendly, and breakfast is delicious. And the quiet location is perfect for exploring Turku by foot.
Even though the hotel is very well maintained and everything functions well, some spots would need renovations. The tiling in our bathroom was not in the best shape. Also, the antique furniture is not always the most practical. However, all just adds to the character of the hotel. :)

Loved the look of the hotel. Beautiful antiques Felt like being back in time. Location was great, easy to get to train station and easy to get into town, very walkable. Staff was very pleasant.
I was in room 204, which was beautiful, but the beds were very, very soft. Started in one, couldn't sleep. Moved to the next bed, still bad. Have a back ache now. In addition, no way to modify the heat. I was able to open the window, but did not give much reprieve. I did recommend a get new mattresses for that room. for me, the bed is the most important, so if I cannot sleep, it ruins my stay.
