The location and the hotel facilities are truly beautiful. The courtyards and the swimming pool create a wonderful atmosphere and are a pleasure to enjoy. The restaurant is outstanding and highly recommended, with excellent food and service. The swimming pool is fantastic, with very comfortable sunbeds, and the staff there were exceptionally kind, attentive, and always willing to help.

The rooms were not what we expected for a hotel of this category and price. They are in need of some updating, and the air conditioning in our room did not work properly. The room was very hot when we arrived because the air conditioning had not been left running between guests. A technician was called simply to check that the system was working, and after it was switched on, the room did cool down somewhat. However, as I mentioned the following day, “it’s better, but not perfect.” Despite this, no further action was taken to improve the situation or properly resolve the issue. As a result, we had to keep the curtains closed throughout the day to keep the room cool, which completely defeated the purpose of paying extra for a Premium Front Ocean View room. The room itself felt quite small, and the bathroom would benefit from having a shelf under the sink to provide more space for toiletries and personal items. Unfortunately, our arrival experience was very disappointing, and it took us quite some time to start enjoying our stay. We did not feel that the hotel made a genuine effort to compensate for the poor first impression or to make our arrival more pleasant. I believe a Grand Hotel should do everything possible to make things right when a guest’s first experience falls short of expectations. First impressions are extremely important, especially at this level, and I would have expected the hotel to offer us a better room or take some meaningful action to restore our confidence and ensure a positive start to our stay. Given the hotel’s category and price, we had expected a much higher standard, both in terms of the facilities and, above all, the way the situation was handled.

Poor service in the red zone for breakfast waited too long-over mins for cooked options which were both cold when they arrived

The rooms are now a bit dated and can do with a facelift but it’s still a very good hotel

Buffet in The Patio was very good. Staff were lovely. Beach was lovely as was the swimming pool.

Room was adequate. Bathroom was good. None of the amenities (water or bathroom shower gels etc) were replenished. This was not a 5* Premium room.
