The location was perfect for us, as it was very near a nice little beach with pink sand suited for kids. It is just besides a tavern with good food, especially fresh fish. You could easily explore Falassarna from there, the other beaches are a few minutes away by car. There is a port 50 m away where you can take a boat to Balos beach, all in all a perfect location if you want either to stay at the beach and enjoy the sun and the sea, explore west Crete, or both, as we did. Gioula & Nikos were fantastic, they are very warm people, very thoughtful and it was a pleasure every time they dropped by. As they do not speak english, communicating with them was easier through Angeliki, who was very nice, thoughtful and tended our every need. We had a great time and we strongly recommend the two lodgings over the water, as they are very comfortable and have a great location.
