Keepers Cottage

We loved the space for our family - two lounge areas and three bedrooms. The views were great and made washing up easier! Keeper's Cottage is a proper thick-walled farmhouse perfect for getting away from the rush of modern life. Great for walks (all uphill!), blackberry picking, sitting on the windowsill to watch the landscape, and the swifts and sheep. The slow cooker was a great help in the kitchen. Also Mary was lovely and very helpful.

Bring your own hand soap, salt, pepper, vinegar, coffee, sugar etc. The wifi is typically slow for a rural area but worked well enough. There is no dishwasher so back to basics with the washing up. Frequent planes fly over (from Manchester??) which interrupts the peace slightly but not enough to prevent a return visit (closed the window at night and then it wasn't a problem)

Perfect location for walking in the High Peaks, a short drive away. Also picturesque circular walks from the cottage up into the hills nearby. 5 min drive from Chapel-enle-Frith for supplies at Morrisons and 5 mins from A6. Also on Sheffield Road to Edale valley. Very well equipped cottage with wonderful views of the hills and fields around. Very pleasant host on this working farm at end of sheep lambing season.

Nice and clean cottage, beautiful surroundings, Everything we needed for a family holiday. There was enough room for the children to play.
