About this cottage rental

Situated in the heart of the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Meg's Loft provides high quality, cosy accommodation with stunning views across adjoining farmland. Located on the edge of the village of Llanarmon yn Ial, the home of CBBC's Rocket Island, it is an ideal base for walking and cycling. Coed Llandegla, Coed y Brenin and Penmachno MTB Trail centres are all in easy reach with Offa's Dyke Trail also passing close by. The village of Llanarmon yn Ial offers a shop and popular pub, serving excellent food and real ales. The market town's of Ruthin, Mold and Llangollen are all close by with Snowdonia National Park, the North Wales Coast and Chester all in easy reach. Meg's Loft is located in the converted upper floor of the former coach house with adjoining farmland on the doorstep. The loft is fully equipped with central heating and is ideal for short breaks and holidays all year round. The Loft is ideal for 2/3 people, with a sofa bed providing extra sleeping space to the double room.

Cannot fault megs loft, lovely property with stunning views, gorgeous little viĺlage. The owners go above and beyond ,with everything you need for s/c, and more. Check in perfect , local buses to mold and ruthin, ruthin is a must.would i return yes in a heartbeat.

Megs Loft really is special,It is very peaceful with a stunning view, in a beautiful part of the country.The owners have put a lot of love and care into the accommodation. A previous reviewer mentioned the 1000 thread count sheets. This is a valuable point because it illustrates just how much attention to detail has been given. My late partner and I stayed in many self catering properties and so often they had poor bed linen.There is complete privacy but the owners live in the large separate house on the property and they could not be more inviting and helpful.The short walk down the lane to the lovely community run local pub is itself a treat with the amazing sound of bird song. Make sure you have at least one meal in the pub. It is also worth supporting the village shop, another community run enterprise, staffed by pleasant and inviting people.

It was a comfortable, out of the way place overlooking a lovely vista of green fields. Was able to cook a good meal as well as breakfasts in the kitchenette. Only problem was the number of spiders - September is the month they mate - so we experienced a lot inside.

Simply Stunning property in an incredible location. Megs loft was the best place we have ever stayed in. On arriving, the views are breathtaking, then entering the loft, it was cosy and immaculately clean. It was homely and we immediately felt comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The peace and quiet was incredible and the village is so sweet.. Everyone made us feel welcome. Perfectly situated for walks and other adventures in Wales. The whole family are so lovely, Anna, Richard, Sam and Meg were all so friendly and we cannot thank them enough for the most beautiful few days in heaven... We will definitely be returning. Thank you!

We couldn’t have loved our stay more. My wife was meant to be going out and about to Liverpool and Wrexham exploring but couldn’t get passed the front door. Accommodation was awesome. Can’t believe how much they crammed into the space. Cannot wait to come back again. Hopefully leave the local vicinity this time though

Megs loft is a perfect little hideaway in the Clwydian hills with gorgeous views across the fields. I used the loft as a base whilst visiting family locally and also to work from (fast broadband). It was perfect with everything I needed and spotlessly clean. The only sounds you hear are bird song and the occasional sheep or cow. The village of Llanarmon is small but with a great community run pub and shop. The owner, Anna was super helpful with brilliant communication - I’ll definitely be staying again!

We had a relaxing short break at Meg’s Loft.It is in a beautiful area and has such a friendly community. The loft was spacious,clean and comfortable with an amazing view at the back.As other guests have said The Raven Inn is a must and also grab yourself a cuppa and cake at the local shop. Perfect base for visiting Denbighshire, north coast of Wales and further afield. Meg’s Loft has wonderful views over open countryside and all the facilities you could need. Richard and Anna were very friendly and can advise on local places to go - the village pub The Raven does very good food and is welcoming with a good community feeling.

This property lived up to its description on VRBO and more. Lovely views, great village, you have to visit the local pub “The Raven Inn” which is celebrating its 300 year anniversary. If you get the chance stay at Meg’s loft you will not be disapppointed/

The property was within the owner’s beautiful garden but wa deceptively secluded and had its own private entrance and views from a private patio area. Lovely interior too and so handy for all the local amenities and of course in the AONB. Would definitely recommend and hopefully use again myself-such a relaxing stay

Lovely loft with everything you may want. Tastefully decorated with exposed stone walls give the loft a homely and comfortable feel. Megs place is in an ideal location for a relaxing break. The loft has some lovely views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. We had some nice evening strolls around the village and country lanes. The village is a short stroll away with a community run shop and pub the "Raven Inn". The shop is well stocked and the pub is very welcoming. Ideal base for exploring Mold, Denbigh, Rhuddlan, Ruthin, further afield is Llangollen and Corwen. We had a really relaxing stay and slept so well in this peaceful little village. Would definitely return and can highly recommend "Megs Loft". Anna, Richard and family were great hosts. Thanks for a fantastic stay :)

This is a beautiful loft that accommodates two people beautifully and four with ease. The loft is extremely well appointed with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Thank you for the milk Anna as I always forget to pack it. The travel times to Llangollen, Wrexham and Chester is about 20 to 40 mins for sight seeing ( or in our case to attend the Wales Comicon in Wrexham) Our hosts Richard and Anna are so approachable and down to earth. I can only recommend this sweet little loft !

We booked Meg's Loft for a short break in May and had a lovely relaxing stay. The flat had everything we needed and was fully equipped. We made the most of the beautiful views and countryside and the location is perfect for exploring North Wales. The owners were friendly and helpful and were available to answer any questions and give advice. We had such a lovely time, we have booked another visit so would highly recommend it.

We stayed for 11 days and had a great time visiting castles, ruined abbeys, exploring charming ,market towns and going on local walks around Llanarmon yn Ial, which has everything you could desire - a well stocked community shop, community pub serving hot meals, a castle mound, a pilgrim's church and a paleolithic era cave. The flat is detached from the main farm building and the owners were helpful and friendly when we needed advice etc. I heartily recommend a stay.

Das Cottage ist ideal für 1-2 Personen. Es ist gut zu erreichen, sauber, gut ausgestattet, gemütlich, sehr ruhig und hat eine schöne Aussicht. Das Bett hat eine gute Matraze. Der einzige Nachteil waren die Spinnen! Der Vermieter erklärte, dass Sept/Okt Paarungszeit sei und da kämen sie aus ihren Verstecken. Ich habe in 6 Tagen 12 große Spinnen erschlagen. Das hat meine Erholung leider ziemlich geschmälert. Alles andere war aber wirklich traumhaft!!
