Palapart Gikas Gouvia

The hotel was clean and spacious - large enough for 3 adults to move around comfortably. We loved the pool access directly from our room and most days felt like we had a private pool, as even though it was holiday season and rooms were occupied, the hotel didn't feel packed at all. We also loved how close it was to the old town.

Parking on the onsite car park was a little bit snug at tunes.

The hotel itself was lovely and very good value for money. Staff were friendly and the room was overlooking the pool, comfortable and clean. Bins emptied daily and the full room was cleaned with fresh towels every 2 days. The communal areas, bar, pool etc were all immaculately clean too. There was everything we needed for self catering, we made a couple of meals in there but mostly ate out as it was very reasonably priced. There was a small supermarket at the end of the lane but also a bigger slightly cheaper one about 10mins walk. Food at the snack bar was good and very decent portions, we often shared something for lunch.. Gouvia was only a short walk away, maybe 10-15mins with good choice of restaurants - we loved the small pizza one (that did takeaways too!) The hotel location was great for getting buses anywhere else on the island. There's a QR code on the bus stops at end of the lane, it's useful to get that link then you can get realtime updates to know when to leave the hotel

The walk to Gouvia town wasn't particularly picturesque with graffiti etc, a busy dual carriageway to cross and not much space on paths.

Restaurant good but very poor service

Clean and comfortable. Pool is a great focal point.
