Amazing value in traditional bali location

the value is amazing, Kadek organised 2 fantastic days out to menjangin island at a much cheaper price than elsewhere. The lovely garden encouraged many beautiful birds, the pool was deep and refreshing with plenty oof loungers. breakfast was delicious and cooked to order, staff lovely. Its a beautiful natural side of Bali.

Being looked after well by good people.

100 metres off the main road provided light exercise and quiet. Yet still close enough to stores, ATM's. Staff were brilliant and there was a snorkel/dive/transport concern on site. Oh, and the swimming pool!

The best place in Bali

Everything ! The best hostel in Bali and Indonesia for me, I stayed 5 weeks in Indonesia and I never find better than Mango mood ! Everything is amazing, staff, place, food, prices, services, massage, cleaning every day location…. Absolutely amazing !

Peaceful quiet stay with welcoming staff

The staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful, it had a family feel about it. The location just off the main road meant it was very peaceful and quite and the grounds were tropical and private

Nice, clean, comfortable stay in low key Pemuteran

Lovely, picturesque homestay, away from the main road, but close enough to the shops, cafes and main Pemuteran Beach. My room was light, bright and cool with a fan, aircon and mosquito net. Appreciated a wardrobe to hang my clothes, shelves for my bits and pieces, and chair and table. Bonus points for bedside tables and lamps. The bathroom is outside, which some people love and others not so much. I liked it for the aesthetics, but my aversion to mosquitos meant that I used it as little as possible. It was easy to arrange a snorkelling expedition with the host, Kadek (who also runs a dive shop). The snorkelling was both a lowlight and a highlight. Lowlight due to the chronic amount of rubbish at snorkelling site 1 around Menjangan Island. Highlight due to the relatively clean and absolutely incredible marine life at site 2 around the underwater caves on the other side of Menjangen. I'm gluten intolerant so there was limited choice for me to eat on site. However I appreciated the bottomless cups of coffee, fresh fruit plates and eggs for breakfast. Lovely pool and garden. I really appreciated the use of one of the bicycles for getting around Pemuteran. Highly recommend Mango Moon.

It would be awesome if filtered cold water was available for guests to refill water bottles, to help reduce single use plastics. I would be prepared to pay for refills over and above multiple single bottles. The WIFI was unstable but fortunately I had an eSIM.

Comfortable stay with amazing staff.

Escaping south Bali and finding the Balinese warmth alive and well in Pemuteran was amazing. Kadek and Putu are so friendly and genuine and we felt very welcome throughout our stay. They really made us feel at home. The rooms are fairly large, the bed comfortable and the mosquito net is great. The outdoor bathroom won't be for everyone but having a nice hot shower under the stars can't be beaten. The included breakfast was great value for money and the fresh fruit was delicious. Walking distance to the beach and good restaurants. Would stay again.

The rooms are rather dark and there were lots of mosquitos in the room when we arrived. The cleaning could definitely be improved. There appears to be a long-term resident staying at the accommodation with a large dog who barked aggressively at us when returning at night.

Wonderful homestay with a lot of activity opportunities

The owner of the homestay are very kind and help you whenever you come to them. The supported us immensely in organizing trips from Permuteran and snorkeling tours. The rooms are cute and you feel cozy and the pool is just amazing. It‘s a very nice surrounding and very relaxing to stay even in the homestay :) For breakfast they had a big selection and even serve lunch and dinner which is delicious and homemade. We can only recommend to stay at the Mango Moon!

the beds are really hard, I put the cushion from the couch on the porch on my bed & that helped. the walls are thin so you hear everything. your a good 15 min walk from the beach.

A great stay

The property is located in a gorgeous garden/jungle setting. The pool is big and clean. There are chill out areas. The gem of the place is the owner. The big smile and kindness warms your heart. She organised a scooter for us and a snorkelling trip. She made sure we had delicious breakfast and knowing I don’t eat eggs she catered to this on her own incentive. Superb! we loved the tranquility the place offers. The outdoor bathroom is fun, especially in the rain 😂. Wifi worked very well!

Due to high levels of humidity there was a smell in the room, but with air con on you couldn’t smell it anymore.

Very nice hotel with very welcoming and convenient staff, 5 minutes walking from the beach and restaurants and yet quiet and away from the road. Perfect for visiting Pemuteran and its surroundings, or chill at the swimming pool. The service and the food were perfect and the whole stay was very affordable. Putu and her team made us feel at home from the beginning. 100% recommended.

Best stay in Indonesia so far! Little paradise.

The location, the garden, the room, the outdoor bathroom, the hosts, everything was amazing! We had good AC and the swimming pool was very nice. It was close to the beach and some nice restaurants, just a small walk We loved how quite it was and to hear the sound of the animals strolling through the garden. The hosts were amazing and kind, always asking about our day and willing to help us. They made the best breakfast (we recommend the pancakes and Laklak!), We asked for coconut when we arrived and they picked it for us fresh from the tree. They also set us up with diving instructor Kadek, he was often at the homestay or at the beach and open for a chat. We wanted to do a snorkel tour but he convinced us for a diving trip and it was an amazing first experience! He is a very nice and competent guide who made us feel safe and at ease.

Nothing, it was like a paradise on earth. The only thing that was sad is that we had to leave again. We have nothing but love for our hosts!

MangoMoon was very relaxing and quiet. I felt completely at home and comfortable with the beautiful surroundings. Putu and Iluh cooked up delicious food for breakfast and dinner always with smiles!🤗 It is so easy to get around to beach and village, it’s just a few minutes walk away.

Open air bathrooms, beautiful garden, kind and helpful staff, nice size, clean swimming pool, comfortable beds, relaxing sala to sit and enjoy reading or playing games with friends and family, good breakfast, free coffee, daily room cleaning, quiet location, 10 minute walk to beach for swimming and snorkeling. Massage can be requested at the property for 100k per hour.

Nothing except that the walls were a bit thin so you can hear your neighbors.

Superb

Its a nice an quiet place, we stayed for three nights to explore this part of the island and had a good time. Pool looked nice and big although we did not have the time to test it. The host really wants you to have a good time, and communication worked very well. He organised a snorkeling trip and a small trekking trip for us on short notice, which both were really cool and had very good, knowledgeable guides. We could also rent two bikes on short notice, which have seen better days but were totally fine for a trip. (Go visit Pura Melanting. A really beautiful colorful temple maybe 15 Minutes with the bike). All in all price for value was very good in my opinion.

The bed was too hard for me, and the bedroom would be more cosy if the bedlamps would be warm-white not cold-white, but that might be personal preference. Water pressure of the shower was a little weak, if this is important to you. (Was ok for us). However I judge price/value which was very good in my opinion.

A perfect guesthouse experience

The staff here are absolutely wonderful. We felt immediately welcome and couldn’t have asked for better service throughout our stay. The staff helped us organise a snorkelling tour, a scooter for the day, our laundry and transport to our next destination. The room is beautiful, spacious and clean. We loved the traditional outdoor Balinese style bathroom and enjoyed a dip in the pool. Breakfast had a few different choices and all of the options that we tried were wonderful. We also had a beautiful home cooked meal one night. There is also 3 cute dogs & a very friendly cat living onsite. The location is perfect, only a few minutes walking distance to the beach. We stayed for 2 nights but if we had more time in Bali, we would definitely have stayed longer. Highly recommend this guesthouse to all!

Lovely homestay with the nicest people

This is one of those places where you don’t want to leave. Mame & Puti make you feel at home right away! The room is nice, spacious and clean znd so is the open bathroom. The pool is lovely and so is the garden. Mame helped me to join a snorkeling trip which was amazing! I’m already thinking of coming back staying for a longer time. :-) Nice breakfast too.

A memorable, wonderful stay at Mango Moon

The best aspect of this guest house is the couple who own it. Kadek and Putu are lovely people and very much care about your stay with them. They take the time to have good conversation and really care about Pemuteran and the community. I hope that tourism returns to normal in Pemuteran as soon as possible as the city is heavily reliant on it. The area where the rooms are located have beautiful landscaping. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Both the ac and the wifi worked well. The outside bathroom was fantastic. The guesthouse also has a pool which is well maintained and clean. The area is also very quiet as it is located far enough off of the busy main road to not hear the traffic. The location was wonderful, it is on a road which has views of the mountains, is a short walk to the dive center I used (Abyss Ocean World) and a short walk to the highest rated restaurant in Pemuteran -D'Buco. I ate there every night. It is that good. I requested to have breakfast only on my last morning there. Putu was nice enough to prepare it to go. It was fried rice with egg and was very tasty. She was also kind enough to bring me to exchange money. There is a laundry business right next door which I used which was cheap and my clothes came back cleaned and ironed. I would have loved to stay longer and do nothing but relax and swim at Mango Moon but had to move on.

My only recommendation is to change the detergent used on the linens as it was quite fragrant.
