Batumi Surf Hostel

Great location! The staff is very helpful and friendly to chat with. The private bathroom was quite practical and spacious enough for three people. Keep in mind that while bedsheets are provided, you need to make your own bed, which is something to consider in advance if it matters to you. The kitchen was also spacious and fully equipped with everything you need for cooking.

They could have put up a shower curtain so that everything wouldn’t get wet – the toilet, things, the mirror. It’s all in one room and it’s always flooded. I don’t remember ever having to make my own bed anywhere. Here I had to. That’s strange.

I can not fault this hostel. Right from check in I was welcomed in a friendly manner. Beds are comfortable, with clean sheets, privacy curtains & a good pillow. Also power outlet and light for every bunk. Air-conditioning worked well. Lockers are a decent size. Bathroom was clean with hot water, decent water pressure & good size. Kitchen is large & well equipped. Location is perfect as everything is a walkable distance, I didn't take one taxi in the 4 days I was there. Washing machine available for 5l, hanging space/racks outside. Little outdoor area with table & chairs. Also has a great vibe to chat with other travellers. I'd definitely stay there again.

If I have to pick something...... the towels are on the thin side and the wifi isnt the greatest & could be a problem for digital workers but honestly it's a great place to stay.

Very good location in the middle of old town and a big kitchen to cook in if needed. Also had a communal work area if required. Very nice shower

The double room is small and dark with no natural light (unlike the photos). We also had a ask for blankets which were quite light for winter. Unfortunately there was a bad smell in the hotel which I’d guess is from a lot of long term travellers living there and not a lot of ventilation.
