Kind staff, renewed comfortable room, parking, beautiful garden.
The mattress was uncomfortable.

Our room (The Orangery) was great; comfortable and clean with everything we needed. Breakfast was also great and the outside area (pool, etc.) is fantastic.
The location was also perfect for us, only 5-10mins walk from the train station.
However, the highlight for us was the staff; everyone was very friendly and helpful and they really made it an enjoyable stay.
It’s the other side of the train station from the beach and main town (where the bars & restaurants are). This was not a problem for us (it’s only 25-30mins walk to the beach if you do want to go), so just for info.

Everything! The room, the staff, the food. All magnificent. We felt very welcome and loved staying here. We would definitely recommend staying here. It is a bit of a walk from the train station but well worth it.

Nothing, it was excellent :)

We had a wonderful stay at L'Amandola where we enjoyed the unique, historic building with many beautiful nooks to explore. The updated bathroom and shower made the entire stay feel very luxurious. The pool is a special plus, which my two children enjoyed a lot. The breakfast and aperitivo were outstanding, so be sure to book this place in advance as it does get full. I hope to stay again soon.

The hotel is a beautiful old villa with great views of the surrounding hills, and the sea in the distance. Our room was recently refurbished (deluxe) with a very good ensuite (shower/bidet). The lovely garden is terraced with a pool on the higher level, and several seating areas, with parasols etc. We enjoyed the breakfast which had a good choice, including home-produced cakes and spreads - also delicious figs from the garden! Lorenzo and his team were incredibly helpful, and did their best to make our stay really enjoyable. It is easy to walk into Levanto - we didn't use our car at all!
Some minor points (which are for information and should not stop you staying here!): 1. the air-conditioning in our room was a very modern unit but quite noisy at its highest setting; 2. The lovely pool bar also had piped music at a low volume - however, you could avoid this by sitting elsewhere in the garden.
However, these are small things - overall, a beautiful place!

L’Amendola offers a superb and unique accommodation experience that is unmatched by many. Its charm is immediately apparent from the moment you step in; its ample space comfortably fits up to three people, making it a perfect getaway for small families or close friends.
The star of the show, undoubtedly, is the mesmerizing lake view that greets you every morning. It's fantastic and imbued with a sense of tranquility that acts as the perfect backdrop for a memorable vacation.
Overall, L'Amendola offers a captivating blend of comfort and stunning natural beauty, making it an experience not to be missed.

Beautiful setting, stunning property, a lovely place to visit and spend time. Laura was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to recommend places to visit, eat etc. She even booked restaurant reservations for us.
Our room didn't have air conditioning which makes it very hot in summer

Sandra was the highlight of our stay. She was so friendly and so helpful. even though she was the receptionist, she did everything— worked in kitchen , served food, cleaned up and Magee the front office. What an amazing employee! I would hire her in a second to do just about anything.
Lorenzo, the owner was very nice, too. He has a good team at L’Amendola. it is also a GREAT location to visit Cinque Terre.
The breakfast was terrific— homemade jams, made to order omelets, fresh fruit etc!
prices to stay are relatively inexpensive
Rooms were very sparse.
not set up for women— no makeup mirror in bathroom, no full length mirror anywhere, pillows are weak, bathroom was so tiny, no where to put luggage in rooms.

The property is easy to reach from the station and well placed for a walk into Levanto. The grounds are nice and breakfast is really good. The staff couldn’t be more helpful, they recommended walks for us and hotels for the evening.
Levanto is a good base for the Cinque Terre as you are at the end of the train line. Plenty of good restaurants in the town and a lot less busy than other villages.
The walk from the station is uphill so a bit of a chore with a biggish bag, but we knew this and it wasn’t a major issue.

The hospitality was top notch. We were ready for a quieter place away from the Cinque Terre but still close by. The view and the pool were exactly what I was hoping for and the staff could not be friendlier. What a wonderful B&B!

The villa was most charming, very nicely maintained. The breakfast area and in general were like being home. We were treated like family.
The walkway at night from the parking lot to the villa was not always lit.

not only was this a property full of charm and character, the staff is truly what made our stay so memorable
the walk there from the train station was mostly uphill so with 2 young children and all our luggage that was challenging. also, there weren’t any taxis/Ubers

Franca, Laura, Lorenzo & Sweet 'Black' (the dog:) were the highlight of our stay...more on that in a moment... L'Amandola itself is just perfection. The grounds are beautifully set in the hillside of Levanto among grape vines, lemon & olive trees and other beautiful plant life - the fruits of which you'll find readily available to enjoy directly at your breakfast table (figs, lemons, olive oil, etc.).
The rooms and interior feel like you're visiting a family friend -- rustic & warm decor with a Tuscan villa vibe. Donkeys (although quite elusive!), chickens and the resident dog 'Black' were a joy to see every day! We stayed as a party of 6 (4 in one room, my parents in another near the pool) -- our room was spacious, beautiful the view from our room of the surrounding vineyard was stunning! And...we had AC:))
Never crowded with other guests, we were able to really feel 'at home' on the property. We absolutely loved the house-made cakes at breakfast (among the other delights!) and the special tasting dinner by the pool was just lovely.
Back to the staff: France welcomed us with the warmest, brightest smile upon arrival and didn't stop giving us her joy the entire time:) Laura was fabulous and kind as well and we loved teasing Lorenzo with our over the top Italian impression of his name:) Absolutely wonderful people. Our kids (11 & 15) couldn't get enough of Lorenzo's dog, Black - we all fell in love with him:)
Excellent location to visit Cinque Terre (train is just a few minutes away from the property) and explore the Liguria region.
The people...this place...helped us create very special memories for my family and parents.
There's not a thing we didn't enjoy about staying here only something you should be aware of if you are traveling with older people or anyone with mobility issues. The property does have quite a few stairs in various places you'll need to climb to get around -- again -- not a problem for us (my mother does indeed have knee issues - she just took it slow!).

Where to begin? It started with Francka's warm welcome and radiant smile. She explained everything about Cinque Terre, gave us a parking badge so we could park in town and at the train station for free. Such a nice gesture! The property is beautiful, you can enjoy the charming old villa and the peace and tranquility of the well-kept gardens. Our room was very comfortable and immaculately clean. The pool (with lovely view) was certainly a big plus after walking around Cinque Terre. Breakfast on the terrace, full of healthy options. The companionship of the dog Black was greatly appreciated!
We didn't like the fact we had to leave.

The staff were really welcoming and helpful, with lots of knowledge and recommendations of the local area! Lovely pool area with bar (we wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy!). Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Levanto and would recommend to others.
The homemade jam for breakfast was a nice touch, and we were able to buy some to take home with us.

Location is great, walking distance from the station and the center of Levanto. The villa and surroundings are beautiful, with the vineyards, olive trees and flowers.
The staff is super nice and helped us in planning the visit to 5 terre. The breakfast was excellent. Beds were comfortable. Having the mini fridge in the room was nice.
We stayed in 2 different rooms and despite the second room being more expensive, we found out that there was no air-conditioning. We didn't see this during booking but somehow we expected for room rates of 140 euros this would be a minimum. Leaving the windows open at night was no option with all the mosquitos so we did not really have a good night. The bathroom of this room was very small and did have mold, can use some maintenance.
The wine they serve in the bar is good but overpriced. And you cannot bring your own food and drinks to the pool.

We liked it very much in L' Amandola. We stayed there for three nights. The place is outside of Levanto and very easy to reach by car. Or, the train station is only 8 minutes away by foot.
The villa with its historic style and furniture is absolute lovely. The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful with many great tips and advices for the area.
Due to low temperatures, It was a pity we did not use the pool. The breakfast is just marvelous with e.g. homemade marmalades.
Thank you very much for this great place.
