Hotel La Semilla a Member of Design Hotels

this small hotel is very well located - next to 5th avenue but also in a quieter area. great inner yard and fantastic breakfast. room spacious and clean.

the hotel lists that it has a pool, not sure though - haven't seen any.

It was a cosy place, at a great location!The breakfast was AMAZING in the peaceful garden with attention to detail.Also the staff were very accommodating and helped us arrange a transfer from and to the airport,great communication!

The room and bathroom were generally smaller than expected,keep in mind there are only stairs if you have luggage and the air conditioning was not working properly/quite old which made the room warmer than ideal.

La Semilla is beautiful!! Our room on the third floor felt like we were staying in a tree house, it was so peaceful and really nice to come back to after hot days at the beach. We looked forward to breakfast every day. Loads of great restaurants and bars in the area (the Cuban bar - super fun!).

The night manager was a tad unfriendly at times but that was a small thing nothing major.

The hotel’s garden and the balcony of our room were incredibly pleasant. Also, the location of the hotel was excellent.

Apart from the gentleman who prepared the breakfast, it was hard to find anyone to talk to. We stayed for three nights, but our room was never cleaned, nor were we asked whether we wanted it to be cleaned. The reception was usually empty anyway, so we were not satisfied with the level of service. Our room was also on the third floor, and the hotel has no elevator. There was also no minibar (or fridge to keep water cold) or hair dryer in the room.
