Loved everything. The staff were so helpful. Such good value for money especially due to location and just what you get. Was a beautiful cabin, had all you needed inside, a fridge, Kettle, soaps, towels, mozzy net, all the things you’d need to keep mosquitos away, repellent, candles and incense to repel mosquitos. Location great, 5 minute walk from beach and great restaurants. Peaceful location even though near road, cabins are set away from road, gardeners working to keep the area beautiful and it definitely is beautiful. Staff SO helpful at arranging transfers.

Simple rooms with attention to detail and everything you need for a short stay

Lovely clean rooms with en-suite. Simple but beautifully done and very clean. Very friendly and welcoming host. Beautiful beach with a few beach bars within a 5 minute walk. Restaurants also a couple of minutes walk. We were only booked in for one night so not sure of other facilities available.

Lovely place to stay.

Lovely greeting on arrival, and a plate of fresh fruit. Staff all very friendly, lady in reception particularly. Good information on local area. Lovely accommodation, very quiet, only loud noises were the birds and a very friendly cat. Breakfast good value for money, very generous portions. Even had my laundry done for next to nothing. Booked a boat trip that was very well organised. Close to beaches, cafes, restaurants and shops. Lovely area to relax.

The perfect bungalow if you search quietness

Perfect stay, so green and the beach is just across the road. Maybe it did also help that our bungalow was the last one and the farthest away from the road, so it was super quiet.

Nice and clean in great location

Can highly recommend Lanta Happy Hill! Our bungalow was nice and clean with a good size bathroom, a small kitchen area with a fridge and kettle, and a big main bedroom with air-con and a bug net. During our stay it was a bit rainy, but the location meant we were nearby some great restaurants so this wasn’t a problem, and the jungle outside made it super cozy despite the weather. Staff was super friendly, it’s a short walk to the beach, and our stay was nothing but great!

I spent three nights at Happy Hill and you really feel like at home. The staff is amazing and they go above and beyond for making you feeling comfortable. The true gem is the owner: Ying is the perfect host and she really cares about the guests and supports in every possible way.

I came for a week and stayed for a month! Perfect!

I came for a week and stayed for a month! I absolutely loved Lanta Happy Hill - everything about it was just perfect for me. It essentially became my home for a month. I was there in the low season so Koh Lanta was quieter which was exactly what I wanted. The weather was beautiful for the most part - blue skies and baking hot - although there were a couple of showers as you expect in low season. The beach was about 400m away so easy just to head down there for a few hours. I was made to feel thoroughly welcomed by the owner and as a solo traveller, I felt safe, secure and comfortable. I loved everything about Lanta Happy Hill - the clean, spacious rooms, sitting on the balcony amid all the greenery, the location and the people.

Fantastic stay at Lanta happy hill.

Cute little traditional bungalow in an ideal location on Ko Lanta. The bungalow was clean, bed firm but really comfortable. The staff are fantastic especially Ying who makes your stay really great - even teaching us some Thai. She will go out of her way to inform you if local things happening which you may want to see - like Muay Thai (great fun). Rented scooter from the bungalow which was great to get about the Island. Beautiful beach 2 mins away. Ying arranged our 4 island tour which was fab and our transfer to Krabi airport. Had a fantastic time, would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Bungalow Resort in the middle of Koh Lanta

Wonderful visit. The place is decorated beautifully. The garden is very nice. The staff was amazing in helping us with everything, transfers and trips. The rooms also great. The breakfast is the the price superb! Scooter / bike rental super easy!

Amazing Stay in the middle of Koh Lanta!

The entire staff at this property is amazing! They really make your experience so much better as they are very welcoming, attentive, informative, and helpful in every way. The bungalows are cute and spread throughout a beautiful jungle landscape. The paid breakfast located on site is very tasty. They also offer motorbike rental delivery (250 baht per day) and laundry on-site, which is very convenient. Relax Beach is located within a 5-minute walk from the property. There are several restaurants within walking distance, but I would recommend renting a motorbike as there are many more great restaurants and cafes within a short drive. The wifi connectivity is inconsistent from within the bungalows (depending on how far your specific bungalow is from the wifi router), but the speeds from the main dining area are very fast. The A/C in the rooms works wonderfully. Daily housekeeping was offered. Overall, we had an amazing time at Lanta Happy Hill and would absolutely stay here again!

Since the bungalows are located within a jungle setting, it does get quite buggy throughout the day/evening, so using bug spray is a must if you want to sit out on your patio.

I had the BEST time at Lanta Happy Hill. The location is perfect with restaurants, beach bars and the relax beach within walking distance and it is still quiet enough to enjoy the sounds of nature (birds, cicadas, geckos) - if you can, I would still recommend renting a scooter to explore the beaches further down south. I loved spending my mornings on the little verandah, looking out into the garden. And while all of that is reason enough to choose this accommodation, the heart of this place is the wonderful Ying and her friendly staff! Ying was the most lovely and helpful host. Breakfast, laundry service, scooter rental, recommendations for tours and help in booking them - she's got you covered! Thank you so much Ying and everyone for making my stay on Ko Lanta even more memorable!

Everything was great, we had a spacious bungalow with all the amenities. The room is insect and animals-proof, but the bathroom has a thatched roof, and we had a beautiful toki gecko living there. There was no workspace, but we asked, and the very next day they brought us a table. 5 minute walk to a great beach, which is not even on the map

wonderful, I was kindly upgraded to a quieter spot on the property as I came with my baby. staff are all extremely friendly and warm. the room is very cute, clean and comfortable. we had great sleeps here and loved waking up to the sounds of chirping birds and being surrounded by the greenery. relaxing stay, close to the beach and some yummy foods in walking distance. overall great stay!

Hilltop serenity but close to the beach!

Serene, hilltop location surrounded by trees and landscaped grounds. Incomparable, hospitable lady host/proprietor who took such good care of us and went that extra mile for us, meeting all our needs and requirements. Appreciated that this is a family-owned and family-run business and I felt at ease and at home. Comfortable room, bed with mosquito net (trust me, it's needed!) with well-maintained furniture and appliances ,albeit, a bit worn out. Best of all, the WiFi speed and strength is superb as each cottage is equipped with its own router.

Inadequate lamps lighting up the pathway to the cottages, very dark at night. Mosquitoes!

Good value for price

The principle operator, Ying, could not be more helpful, pleasant, accommodating and hardworking. She is the shining star in this hotel. The property is a short walk to the beach, has scooters readily available, and some good restaurants in walking distance. A good, relatively low cost option for Koh Lanta.

The features are very basic. Bedding and linens are clean but well used and not plush. We had some issues with bugs and lizards in the room although the staff made effort to address this. if your expectations are in line with this, you should not have a problem.

Very good value for money. Very warm welcome by the youthful owner who was very knowledgeable on local bars and places to eat. Food options were excellent. Two very different beaches within 10 min walking distance, one with bars but have to swim around rocks the other lovely sand but lacked the beach bar vibe. I would stay again.

Family friendy resort. This can be a positive and a negative dependent on your own position. The whole island lacks good foot paths so need to takecare when walking to bars, bring a flash light.

FANTASTIC hotel with a wonderful host

AMAZING place in Koh Lanta. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. The location is great, a short walk to a nice beach and a short motorbike ride to even nicer beaches. Lots of nice restaurants nearby too. But the best thing about this place is Ying the owner and manager. She is so nice and always happy to help. Every recommendation or bit of advice she gave us was spot on: from the tours she booked for us (and got us a good discount), to the beaches and restaurants she recommended. Nothing was too much trouble! We also rented our bike through Happy Hill which was super convenient. The room is a lovely bungalow surrounded by nature, we even saw monkeys one morning! Koh Lanta is such a beautiful place and the hotel was a great base from which to explore the island and do excursions. We were so sad to leave and really hope we can come back one day! Bonus: v sweet kitties

Amazing experience in Koh Lanta

I left a piece of my heart at Lanta Happy Hill. First of all I would like to thank Ying, the manager of the hotel, from the bottom of my heart. she is an amazing person and the most welcoming host I’ve ever had. Always friendly, always smiling and ready to help. She also served me a welcome drink and fresh fruit upon arrival and she was wary considerate from the moment I walked into the hotel. The huts are in traditional Thai style, super cosy and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel is located in a very quiet and peaceful surroundings (okay, most of Koh Lanta is quiet and peaceful), I woke up every morning to birds singing and the beautiful sounds of nature. The beach is just across the road, it’s a 5 minute walk and it has very few people on it and it’s absolutely gorgeous. There is also a couple of nice restaurants on the beach. Long story short, this place is a great value for money and altogether my experience was 100% enjoyable and I’m anticipating my return to Happy Hill!

The bungalow was very nice and clean, AC, hot water all the time and cleaning was done whenever requested. There were also different breakfast options at a very good price and it was very tasty. Ying was such a kind host, she always offered recommendations, arranged our further travel and you can also rent scooters from her without any problems. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay at happy hill!

Wonderful stay @ Lanta Happy Hill!

Lanta Happy Hill is a lovely resort, with beautiful bungalows in a wonderful garden setting. The bungalows are well maintained, clean and very cosy. It had a large fridge which I used to store some food & drinks. The bed was very comfortable. It's a couple of meters away from the road and therefor always really quiet. Relax Beach is just a short walk away (about 6 mins) and in the time of my visit it was always pretty quiet. If you're in for a swim, you can do this very well @ Relax Beach. Just be careful not to go too much to the outer ends of the beach, since there you'll find some rocks under the water. Ying the owner is a very spontaneous, caring and happy person. She has lots of info on the island and she likes to share it all! She has a few lovely cats who are living in the resort area and sometimes came to visit me when I was sitting on the balcony of my bungalow. If you are staying there, I can definitely recommend to do a tour @ the nearby Lanta Animal Welfare. They are doing wonderful work for and with the stray cats and dogs of Koh Lanta and nearby surroundings. They ask a small fee (bht 250 adult, bht 150 children) for this tour. This money will be used to help the animals.

The host goes above and beyond to make your stay, she helped organise our car hire (at discount), our tours, our airport transfer, helped with our laundry and gave us a lot of information about food and places to go in the area. We really enjoyed our stay here and extended by several nights. Amazing hosts, very helpful and caring and great to have a chat with. Easy to rent scooter. Really nice room, comfortable, good a/c, good shower, spotless. Very close to the beach and a good location to explore Lanta from. Also helped us organise our onward journey for a reasonable price.

Cannot recommend Happy Hill enough! The owners are so friendly and go above and beyond to help. The room was very clean and comfortable. Good air conditioning and large bed. Close to many restaurants, and a five minute walk to the beach. The owners can help arrange transportation and tours as well! A cozy home away from home- we loved the surrounding gardens.

Phenomenal value with a solid location!

The place was exactly what you expect from looking at the photos, the bungalow was spacious and comfortable. It is a 5 minute walk from a stunning beach and a 10 minute walk away from the hidden gem that is "beautiful beach"

I know its such a weird thing to say but I felt as if this place must have been a wonderland before Covid happened, I truly wish I had been able to stay here with the owner being there, she was in the hospital preparing to give labor ( which is amazing!!!) I simply have a feeling that she would have brought the place to life!
