Perfect Stay in Cividale!!

This was one of the nicest stays of my entire life! I stayed here with my daughter while hiking the Alpe Adria. The stay, the location, and the family who runs it are over the top! It genuinely made us emotional how nice we were treated!

Had a lovely stay here and were very well taken care of! The location is perfect and the rooms very comfortable. The hostess made us a fantastic breakfast and even accommodated me being vegan by baking a vegan cake! Would definitely come back to Cividale just to stay at B&B Domus iulii.

The owner was super friendly and provided us with the important information about the historic sights and was always ready to help. The apartment was beautiful and well equiped. It was directly in the city centre so the location could not be better but still it was quiet. Breakfast was delicious and was from local producers. We will certainly visit again. The BnB was a charming, well located in the city

The BnB was charming, clean, comfortable and cozy. The breakfast was complete with a beautiful continental breakfast with jams, freshly baked croissants, pastries and fresh bread. Eggs were offered any style you desired. Service was welcoming and on point.

The mattress in our room was soft in some places that made it a bit uncomfortable during the evening. There isn't much else that needed improvement. The bathroom was clean with fresh towels and toilettries. There were extra blankets and pillows in the armoire closet.

We were impressed with the central location and the history of the building. Francesca and Cristina were so kind and welcoming. We especially loved the breakfast! Fresh juices, coffee, homemade cakes and pastries. I would love to stay there again.

Francesca was very kind and hospitable and asked us multiple times about our wishes. She also provided clear instructions about reaching the place and answered promptly when asked about our time of arrival. The beds were very comfortable, and the apartment was exceptionally clean and lovely to stay in. We will definitely come back and we highly recommend it to everyone searching for a comfortable stay in a wonderful location, including an amazing and varied breakfast :)

This is an incredible establishment. Francesca and Cristina were very friendly, helpful and informative. From the absolutely beautiful building and furnishings, the central location immediately overlooking the main city square, to the terrific breakfasts with everything you could ask for tailored to each room's specific tastes, Domus Iulii was overnight highlight of our entire honeymoon, and made our trip to Cividale so much better than we had even expected.

The bed was a little firm but not so much that it interfered with a good night's sleep. Everything else about Domus Iulii more than made up for it.

Excellent B&B base for a visit to Cividale del Friuli and the Natisone Valleys

Excellent accommodations for visiting Cividale del Friuli and the Natisone valleys. The setting is an old building just half a block from the Duomo and the central Piazza, near the main tourist sites and the Devil's bridge over the stunning Natisone River. The staff was gracious, the price modest, the room was comfortable and tidy - the breakfast was outstanding! The staff even loaned me a bicycle to ride the short bike trail along the river to Pergessimo (a short, family-friendly route along the beautiful river and across vineyards for 5k each way; a section of the much longer Alpe Adria bike trail).
