Great base to explore Bakewell and the Peaks. Chris had thought of everything in his cottage to make for a comfortable home away from home. Location couldn't be better, walk to supermarket, transport, restaurants and shopping. Lots to see in this lovely village. Chatsworth, a must see, travel on the open air tour bus for added views. Enjoyed our stay immensely.

Wainstones is a lovely property to stay in. It is beautifully clean, very well maintained and very well appointed. It is situated close to the heart of Bakewell and all amenities, but at the same time away from the hustle and bustle. The welcome from the owners included biscuits, milk, wine and fresh flowers, which we really appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage.

Stayed at Wainstones for 4 nights and could not have found a better location. The cottage was perfectly situated, immaculate inside and out, and the attention to detail was top notch. Not only have the hosts done a spectacular job providing a great place for individuals wanting to stay in Bakewell, but they went above and beyond in their communication and provided extra services that were not expected. We cannot thank Chris and Kay enough for making sure our stay was an enjoyable one. Would highly recommend Wainstones to anyone wanting to visit Bakewell.

Perfect cottage for six friends to spend the weekend catching up and visiting Chatsworth House and Christmas markets. Bakewell is a small town full of little individual shops. The Rutland Arms is a great place to eat. Plenty of food shops to stock up for cozy nights in too. The cottage is tastefully decorated, clean and the hosts are extremely welcoming. The welcome pack we received was a very thoughtful gift of milk, wine and biscuits. Tea, coffee etc was also provided. Would highly recommend!

Incredible location, everything included, very clean. Mind the steep stairs if you’ve got dodgy knees, though! Thanks for a great stay.
