Hôtel Le Lons

The location was perfect. The garage parking was very good. The staff were polite and friendly.

It’s very tired and needs updating. The window frames need painting and the whole of the hotel does too. From across the river the hotel looks very tired and scruffy. Our bedroom 103 was like a box, no where to put anything . The carpet was very thin and not soft under foot. Paid €100 for the room plus breakfast fee. Which consisted of tinned fruit as a choice. I would have expected fresh fruit. Fruit juice not freshly squeezed, out of a carton. Felt like a canteen as trays were expected to be placed on a rack when finished. Furniture needs replacing to give it a warm welcome. We won’t return

The receptionist on arrival was fantastic, really welcoming and helpful with restaurant suggestions. Beds were good but I always struggle with French pillows for some reason… breakfast was a good cold selection: eating on the veranda overlooking the river

It’s a Brit thing I know but I wish kettles and tea/coffee were standard in hotels across Europe …

Friendliness of the staff and the central location.

We would have liked more fresh fruit for breakfast.

Great location in Foix

The rooms were incredibly expensive. It was Tour de France time but still. It was incredibly hot and the rooms (we were on top floor) were very hot. I couldn’t get anything but freezing water from the shower. Luckily it was so hot I didn’t bother investigating further.
