Hostal Pension Artilleiro

A little far from the centre, but if you're looking for a little more peace then this is the place for you. The only bummer was that we only met someone at the reception once, and everything else was communicated thru whatsapp, so abit of human element was lost, but host was very communicative and helped us out on whatsapp for our enquires. We are satisfied with our stay here, and it allowed us to reset after the camino. Relatively convenient to travel to Santiago Airport, it was a 15 mins walk to the bustop then an airport bus that cost 1€ will bring you there.

Beautiful, calm oasis, pretty, comfortable room and a wonderful breakfast in a lovely garden.

The owner was very nice! Since we had issues, she gave us free breakfast in morning, which was very good!

WiFi wasn’t working. We were told not to wash our clothes ourselves and hang out in yard to dry in sun. Room was tiny. Shower almost impossible to get in and out of it was so tiny. Far from main square. Very hot with no AC and it was too loud from busy street below to leave window open. Way overpriced! I ranked it bottom 5 of 32 nights on the Camino and almost 3 times the price as most places. Would not stay there again or recommend it! It was a big disappointment for our last night on the Camino after walking 800 KM.

This property was ok for a single night. The internet worked and there was a quiet outdoor area outside of our room. Room was an ok size.

We were in room #1, which was outside of the main building. The room definitely needed some updates. Pictures show food being served, though we never saw anybody who worked at the location and definitely no food or even coffee. Bathroom and shower were old. If we had it to do over, we would find another place to stay.
