The reception staff were excellent. Special thanks to Serdar, Gulistan and Muhammed, who were extremely kind, respectful and helpful. They also speak Persian, which was very helpful for us. I have stayed at this hotel around eight times and have always been treated with great respect. Thanks also to the rest of the reception team. The hotel has its own outdoor parking area behind the building with security cameras, and free street parking is also available in front of the hotel.

The hotel is overpriced for what it offers. At €125–135 per night, I don't think it provides good value for money. In my opinion, around €80 per night would be a more reasonable price. Also, although complimentary water is provided in the room, a bottle of water from the minibar costs 65 TL, while the same type of water costs around 15 TL outside. For a hotel in this price range, this feels excessive and unnecessary.

The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff (especially Eren at the reception desk) were very kind and friendly. Everything I needed was already in the room, or it was quickly provided upon request. Breakfast was great. The swimming pool and saunas were also excellent. This hotel is now my favorite hotel in Van.

check-in: reception wanted to keep our passports! I wasn’t sure if they needed that as collateral for potential damage and tried to explain the credit card I used for booking is exactly for that purpose! Then they requested for $100 in cash - for which I said PLEASE USE MY CREDIT CARD ON FILE!!! Receptionist eventually gave up (after talking to their manager). Extremely bizarre experience which made us very uncomfortable from the get-go. (and apparently according to Turkish tourism regulations it is illegal for a hotel to do keep guest passports, at least my quick google search suggested that while I was arguing with the receptionist) The room itself was okay, but not very clean to our standards. For example under the bed was very dirty, and we asked them to come and clean - which they did (staff was generally helpful). Shower gel dispenser was empty, and it took them two days to refill despite asking multiple times. First few nights bed sheet wasn’t covering the mattress completely and they said they don’t have large enough sheets to full cover the mattress (top and bottom was bare mattress protector and no bed sheet). Again very uncomfortable given the mattress protectors didn’t look like they were changed on a daily basis. Bathroom door stopper was broken as well, bathroom door handle was very loose, so much that we had to keep the door half open not to get trapped inside the bathroom. I think their housekeeping and maintenance procedures need some improvements.
