Vila Josefina

A gem of a stay. This classic family B&B is everything a good one should be — spotlessly clean, beautifully quiet, and set in a lovely garden in a residential neighborhood rather than on a busy street. The occasional tram is the only interruption; otherwise it's birdsong morning and evening. Breakfast was a proper affair: eggs boiled to order, fresh breads, donuts, variety of cold cuts and cheese, juices, coffee and tea. Communication was seamless throughout — when I was delayed, no problem; when I said I was on my way, they were already at the gate. Perfectly located for the Metro, though fair warning: like most of Prague, the surrounding streets are hilly. My only regret was leaving after just two nights. I hope to be back.

Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, very polite and delightful.

The bed sheets were maybe a little too thin for my liking.

Regarding the fact we stayed during the winter season (when Prague was under the snow), the room and the whole Vila were superbly warm and cozy.

Kitchen didn’t serve breakfasts out of season.

Nice owner, clean albeit outdated rooms. Parking in the yard included (have to reserve in advance). Metro stop close by.

First floor room: noise from the hallway and the staircase. Missing toiletries and no refrigerator (booking.com shows that there should be one).
