A lovely friendly place the host was fantastic, the breakfast was really good, would come back as a tourist if I'm ever up this way and would recommend to work colleagues.

It was quiet, comfortable and easy to find, the room was clean and the facilities were good. Breakfast had some good choices. The host was polite and friendly. Easy access to Inverness, Strathpeffer and Dingwall.
If I had to pick a fault - and this is really picky - the kettle is on a table in a cupboard that was a little dark - a small light in there would really have helped. Yes, that's how far I have to go to find something I didn't like.

The room and inn were what we expected. We chose this location for access to the Scottish highlands and Inverness. The inn was situated in more of an industrial park, but within 1 mile were 2 small towns with restaurants and coffee shops, which allowed us to get early starts to our days.
We didn't realize the location was in an industrial park and didn't have any shops or restaurants within walking distance. However, the rooms were decently comfortable and clean. It allowed us to recharge after a long day hiking and then get into Inverness within 10-15 minutes of driving for shopping and meals.

Good breakfast with wonderful poached eggs (11/10 -- I gave an extra mark just for the eggs!) Big rooms and big, comfy beds. Good shower. Excellent host.
A couple of weird features in the bathroom -- the taps had to be depressed and held down until water became hot, and the light and fan turning on with movement sensors anywhere near the bathroom was inconvenient. A wee fridge would have been good too.
