    The Citizen Hotel in Taipei offers a lukewarm experience. It has strong points in terms of logistics, but falls short in ambiance and dining. Pros: Great accessibility: Quite close to Taipei Main Station, making it very easy to travel anywhere around the city. Quiet: Located outside the busy center, which ensures a peaceful environment. Cons: Dull atmosphere: The surrounding area is very gray and industrial. Arriving on the weekend made it feel even more deserted and bleak. Musty smell: Despite air fresheners running in the hallways, there is a noticeable damp, musty odor. Terrible dining: The hotel restaurant is dreadful. The breakfast options were inedible, pre-made white bread sandwiches. It is highly recommended to skip it, as there are plenty of excellent food options just outside. Bottom line: Suitable if you strictly prioritize transit access and quiet, but manage your expectations regarding the facilities and skip the food entirely

    Near train station, clean, nearby 7 Eleven and store, fast check in and friendly staff. If have available room, can even check in earlier without charges. Recommend to stay. Just that one weakness is no full length mirror.

    Well maintained room. Good sized - able to open 26 inch luggage at side of room with ample walking space. Toilet is bright and clean. Walking distance to dongmen mrt - nearest is exit 1(has escalator going up) and 2(only stairs). 7 mins slow walk to yongkang street which has lots of good food. Staff at hotel are polite and friendly. Enjoyed my stay here.
