Great location, safe street

the furniture was bit old and the bed was making noises, it was only one bed and the sofa was not big enough to sleep on it.

Vana maja ja väike kenasti sisustatud väike tuba imelise rõduga, mis jäävad meelde erilisena. Korter oli puhas, kõik vajalik olemas ja selged juhised sissepääsuks. WiFi toimis hästi. Hea asukoht Kazimiersis, turvaline ja põnev ka õhtul pimedas jalutada. Krakowi vanalinn oli väikese jalutuskäigu kaugusel.

Diivan oleks võinud veidi teistsugune olla.

I loved the old fashioned decor and high ceilings. The room was clean and beds comfortable. It had an electric kettle, a refrigerator, some eating utensils and dishes. Microwave was outside of the room which was a bonus. There was a fan in the hallway that I used during my stay which was a lifesaver as there is no AC. I expected a basic private room like a hostel so it was as expected. The location was great, right in the Kasimierz area in between 2 synagogues. Which also meant lots of people and tour trams. We walked everywhere. we had only one night that was noisy. Someone in the building was talking loudly for about 4 hours in the evening. Sound bounces around the courtyard and into the window, which had to be kept open at night due to the heat. I was glad for the fan!

The sheets were rough and thin, pillows small. I looked under the mattress and saw a large stain on the foam mattress. Kind of gross. I would suggest a mattress cover. I brought my own sheets and pillow and it made a significant difference. I’m a top sheet person and like a barrier between the duvet and my body. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 10 days was not sufficient. The shower head was broken and wouldn’t stay in place. The toilet seat was broken and sliding around. The shelf in the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned and was rusted. No towel service offered. The front door of the building would not automatically lock, so it was unlocked for our entire 10 day stay. I reached out to the management and let them know. The lock on the room door could only be bolted with a key, there was no way to lock from the inside without a key. I reached out to the property management and they would not offer another key. Since the room has 2 beds for 2 persons, I would expect that there would be a way to lock the door without a key. Hostels usually offer replacement of toilet paper and towel service, so I would say this was more like renting an apartment not a hostel.

Very fast and easy communication with owner. Very nice location in the center of Kazimierz, nice furnishing, nice photos on the wall, the bed sheets were clean, the bathroom too, very good value for money. I would recommend this location to anyone who wants an uncomplicated, affordable stay. I would also book it again next time I go to Krakow.

The kitchen utensils could have been washed up a bit better. If you are very sensitive to noise, you should know that it is an old building and thus poorly sound-proofed. I personally missed the possibility to make the room really dark, but again, this is a personal preference.
