Berghaus - Der Westerhof Hotel

Traumhafte Lage mit herrlichem Blick auf den Tegernsee, Zimmer war sauber mit wunderschönen Balkon. Das Frühstück hervorragend, mit allem was der Gaumen begehrt - plus - große Frühstücks Terrasse oberhalb des Tegernsees. Das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend - einfach wunderbar.

Apartment was clean and in a beautiful location, in a building next door to the main hotel connected by an underground passage to the breakfast room. Breakfast was included in the price, it offered a wide range of options for breakfast and complimentary tea/coffee is offered throughout the day. You can sit and sip it on the terrace or lovely hotel garden overlooking the amazing view. Afternoon cake is offered at reception in the afternoon which is a nice touch. Really helpful staff who were friendly and always ready to offer some tips of things to do and places to go. Beautiful walk down to the village taking in fantastic views but be prepared for the walk back to hotel, 15 minutes of climbing steps or a very steep incline, taxi from Tegernsee to hotel cost us about €19.

Apartment decor and fittings were a little outdated, needed an update, the hotel finishes were of a much higher standard. Use of hotel Sauna is not included for guests in apartments ,charged at €25 per person plus €10 per towel.

Attentive staff, I wasn’t satisfied with my original eoom , after a day stay I requested a change and immediately I was handed over keys to a bigger better room. Thanks Lucia We were allowed early check in by almost an hour. The front desk staff assisted us with great enthusiasm and provided us a lot of information. We also got our Tegernsee card that got us many discounts. Breakfast is spendid. Look at the pictures, waking up to this view is pure delight . The hotel is dated and classic , a very nice break from modern hotels, reminded me of my childhood vacations, keep it classic please. Vielen Dank

East or south facing rooms should have a fan , these rooms get hot right from early morning, luckily my room was changed on request. Also my original room had a tiny bathroom, good for a couple but not for family.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut! Es war alles da was zu einem Frühstück gehört. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist sehr schön. Auch Nachmittags gab es Kaffee und Kuchen.

Das Zimmer sollte renoviert werden, an der Terrasse Tür fehlte eine schraube so das mann beim öffnen das gefühl hatte das mann gleich den Griff in der Hand hat. Auch die anderen Fenster waren schwierig zu öffnen, an dem Tischchen auf dem Balkon blättert die Farbe ab, also alles renovierungsbedürftig. Das Bad ist sehr klein und hat keine ablege Möglichkeit für Kulturbeutel und sonstiges.
