Palacio da Lousa Boutique Hotel

Staff were wonderful & so friendly, clean & comfortable room, breakfast was superb and the parking was easy. The sitting areas were gorgeous & we enjoyed drinks on the terrace.

I loved every moment & would definately return.

The older part of the building is really beautiful, with stone and wooden floors and large windows, and the garden, wellness area, lounge areas and restaurant had well thought out interior design. The staff were professional, dog friendly and quite accommodating. The breakfast was surprisingly well laid. We really appreciated our stay.

40 Eur per night for a dog is really steep, it makes one feel tolerated but not welcome. The "newer" rooms have carpet and the passage way has a dark carpet too, I am not really sure why as the older part has beautiful wooden floors. The stains on the carpet were not appealing including the dark color of the carpet in the passage. It would maybe make a difference to the "newer area" to paint the passage and rooms a lighter and plain color and have wood or something with quality like the old part - it currently looks like two different interior decorators were used.

We loved its position, the great staff and the fantastic restaurant. Brilliant dinner and breakfast with a lovely view. They also gave us a wonderful upgrade and the garden was fantastic with our dog.

Nothing apart from the weather!

The hotel is OK and the facilities, when not completely dominated by a single party, were good.

Whereas the staff themselves were friendly and helpful, there didn't seem enough of them. On the second evening of our stay we actually gave up waiting to order food in the hotel and instead went across the road to an Italian restaurant - which was actually excellent. On the day of our arrival we discovered there had been a wedding in the hotel the previous day and block booked by a very large party. This particular group seemed to dominate the whole hotel including the swimming pool and evening bar service, leaving us feeling as if we were somehow less important.
