Palacio da Lousa Boutique Hotel

The hotel is very beautiful, the pool is nice and the garden is very charming. I really liked the breakfast/lunch area it was very beautiful room. For the breakfast, I really liked the pancakes.

I stayed in the old part of the hotel and I didn't like that my windows couldn't open easily, staff had to come and help. My window was really close to a garbage bin outside the hotel. I couldn't smell the garbage but still not very pleasant. The pool was beautiful but we were unlucky - a family of english turists was occupying all the chairs available and making a lot of noise. we had to sit with our towels in the grass away from the pool. it was not very comfortable. I have cancer and i am going through treatments so I was really uncomfortable.

Staff were wonderful & so friendly, clean & comfortable room, breakfast was superb and the parking was easy. The sitting areas were gorgeous & we enjoyed drinks on the terrace.

I loved every moment & would definately return.

The hotel is OK and the facilities, when not completely dominated by a single party, were good.

Whereas the staff themselves were friendly and helpful, there didn't seem enough of them. On the second evening of our stay we actually gave up waiting to order food in the hotel and instead went across the road to an Italian restaurant - which was actually excellent. On the day of our arrival we discovered there had been a wedding in the hotel the previous day and block booked by a very large party. This particular group seemed to dominate the whole hotel including the swimming pool and evening bar service, leaving us feeling as if we were somehow less important.
