Magical place - amazing ski hotel

The hotel is an older, family-owned (and family-loved) inn. It maintains some of the quaint aspects of being a beautiful classic building, with modern touches.

Fine stay but didn't feel at ease

Right opposite the Parsenn funicular up to the slopes. Good quality breakfast with decent opening hours. Bar (Parsenn Gada) was nice and had a drink there several nights.

The staff didn't seem fully trained. Two times a housekeeper entered our room without announcing themselves (no "housekeeping" announcement). The first time I was dressed and next to the door, so I was more confused than anything. But the second, a few days later we were in bed (it was 9am) and my partner had to yell we were inside after they were already entering. It was pretty unsettling. Also the receptionists were friendly but also not fully trained. For example, we asked for recommendations for a local hike and were suggested to go to an area (Pischa) which was not yet open. It looked like the receptionist was not familiar with the local area, as he also had trouble showing us the location on the map. Also the night we arrived we were never informed there was a charge for parking. It's perfectly reasonable to charge for parking, and I see it's clearly written on booking.com, but we didn't know that and the receptionist directly told us to park our car behind the hotel without mentioning any charge. Only at checkout did we discover there was an extra cost.

Lovely Mountain Hotel

A cozy mountain hotel with a perfect location - just across the street from the Parsenn cableway! Also, it's just a 15 minute walk from the city centre. The hotel provides parking at the property, ski room and lovely spacious, CLEAN rooms. For breakfast, you can select from a variety of Swiss products, mostly delicious cheese. For evening drinks, Parsenn gada is there for your convenience, great selection, great atmosphere.

Nice hotel with all you need

Nice hotel with a comfortable room. I really liked the decoration and the amenities in the bathroom. The shower gel and body lotion had a wonderful smell. The room was clean, the breakfast was excellent. It is on the main street so close to everything , but a public transport ticket was also provided.

One of our rooms was right above the main street - and there was no English breakfast tea! (But a great Sirroco black chai tea).

I recommend this hotel, friendly staff and great localisation!

My stay at this hotel was great. It is located close to the train station (Davos Darf) and the Parsenn ski station is in the opposite of the hotel. You can get to the Jakobshorn by the bus (bus stop in front of the hotel). The hotel also provided me with the public transportation ticket for my stay, which was a positive surprise. The room was nice, clean and even though there is an apres ski bar at the ground floor you could not hear anything. The staff was super friendly and helpful :)

Breakfast was fine, but more choice of vegetables would be great!

All staff are exceptional friendly and professional. The hotel is perfectly located for mountain trips up to Parsenn (e.g. skiing). The rooms are made very nice and the bed is super comfortable.

perfect ski base

Great location opposite the main Parsenn ski lift and other bus stops right outside. Great ski locker room with keycard access and individual lockers for each room. Nice that there was free tea/coffee, fruit, biscuits and soup every afternoon. breakfast was also good and the staff all lovely

Pros: 1. Nice room. Spacious enough. Good decor. 2. Comfy beds. Good pillows, blankets. No noise from neighbours. 3. Good shower pressure. 4. Tasty breakfast. They scrambled my eggs upon request. Thinly sliced Fresh fruit i.e. Kiwi, melon , pineapple. Fresh orange juice. Pretzel croissants 5. Hotel staff were very very nice. 6. Free bus tickets with room, which we didn't use. 7. Free 40CHF voucher to hotel bar next door. We used on 22CHF and the guy gave us cash back. 8. Location is very very good. We walked to hockey rink. Walked to clubs and pizza joint too. Got about 15,000 steps in 👍

Cons: 1. To be honest, i think was a bit pricey. I paid nearly 500CHF for one night. BUT it WAS new years period (dec 30). I decided to save money and go for cheaper hotel on dec 31st and stayed at Morosani 51 - what a difference!!!! The pillows sucked and we could hear every single thing our neighbours did. We couldn't find parking. I hated the check in system and the digital key system. And there was no breakfast included. So with all that in mind, actually its much much better to pay the extra 130CHF and get a good nights sleep and a good breakfast. Not to mention have a place to park and a 40 CHF bar voucher.

Minor things but: - Only one type of cheese and a selection of lean cuts at breakfast could be improved - There was a slightly awkward space between two mattresses on the bed (I can't recall having seen an option to order a classic double bed)

Disappointing

The room was well appointed. Breakfast was adequate.

Although check-out was advised at 8:30, it appeared that the person that should have been at reception had overslept. Had problems unlocking the door to the room. Used the safe and then could not open it. Loud "music" from somewhere till 1 o'clock to keep us awake.

Just the comfiest beds ever !! Great bar / restaurant with Charles who served us who was so helpful. Food was fantastic. Definitely recommend and would definitely return. Thank you
