We stayed at Mara 54 and we’re pleased not to be housed in the hotel setting. Yes there were some conveniences offered by the on-site location but the suites we selected felt much more like a home/ apartment. The location of our suites was exquisite. We arrived in early May and the Jasmine was in Bloom all the way down Via Margutta. On top of that, it was a very artsy community, which we appreciated.
If you are traveling with others, it might be helpful to either both stay in the suites or in the hotel proper. The suites are located about 75 yards away from the main structure. We actually appreciated the distance.

Special Location on Via Margutta in a historic art association. Large space with comfortable bed, bathroom,office, dining and tv.
I found the photos and description of the property slightly deceiving. It’s a secluded studio/ garage space turned into luxury apartments. The entrance is from a private court yard with private car parking.

Location is good
Rooms old. First room we were given smelt awful and very musty. We were told it was an upgrade but that was hard to believe was nothing like the photos of room I had booked. I’m an asthmatic so we asked to be moved to another room which was better however my husband is now covered in bed bug bites since staying at the accommodation. Not good value for money and needs more attention paid to cleanliness
