Beautiful stars and Milky Way every night from our own deck. Very warm and comfortable. Equipped with Electric heater, heated blanket and a real fireplace. Kitchen 2 mins drive to the local store. Functioning kitchen and a full size oven. Gloria was very thorough in explaining everything and very friendly. And we love the dog shadow, too.
30mins drive to closest pub and they only open after 5:30pm during off season, so we ended up eating from local stores (toasties or fish and chips) or cooking ourselves. The laundry basket was a bit sad/ broken.

Very quiet, spacious, clean and well appointed with good amenities. The spa, though old was great. Amazing to have a wood fire. Shadow the dog was great.
The carpet needs updating- numerous burns. The absence of kitchen tongs is an interesting choice in self contained cottage.

It was cosy with the fire, the spa bath was lovely, and the location was peaceful.
The Wall at Derwent Bridge was closed for winter but otherwise everything was lovely.
