The so-called tent is in reality a solid construction on the roof, with tent material on walls and ceiling. It is very cosy, tastefully furnished and has its own shower/toilet. The view from the roof is fantastic. Nice and helpful staff. Situated inside the portuguese town.

There was some problem with the toilet flush.

Good location, inside the old city wall. Comfortable room.

Great staff, very friendly and nice to chat with. Colourfully decorated indoors. Good price/quality ratio. Overall, a nice experience.

I stayed in February which combined with the lack of heating - no heating was advertized, thus this was correctly done by the place - made the lodging a bit cool indoors although a bunch of blankets were provided. While the lodging is obviously not responsible for the surroundings, overall the old Portuguese fortress is run down and has a lot of rubbish around compared to the average medina I have visited and stayed in during my holiday in Morocco. Thus those looking for a stay in a pictoresque medina might be disappointed in this quarter in spite of how nice the lodging itself is.

Location and hodoitability.

It was not my style, let’s put it that way. The property enjoys a great location, but needs an upgrade. But given the whole of the Olof Portugueses City, which is run down, it could be a good deal for low-budget travellers. Plus, I travelled in winter, so I didn’t have a chance to appreciate the terrace.
