The room was extremely comfortable, in a great location, warm and welcoming staff, and a delicious breakfast.

1.) Several of the lobby clerks were very helpful, but spoke little to no English. One recommended a legit French restaurant across the street, and down a short block...named Perrot's, I believe. Food was very good. 2.) Location is very good with Le Louve and Notre-Dame within 15-20 minutes walk (all flat). The Seine is also very close...perhaps 12-15 minutes away. 3.) The breakfast was excellence with eggs to order (as long as you like omelets). The "chef" doesn't speak English but you can point to cheese and ham on the buffet. They had a orange juice machine that was so cool. You drop oranges into a wire slot on the top and then crank away for about 10 cranks. The nozzle below, when pressed, allows wonderfully fresh, superb-tasting orange juice to flow into your glass. The toast and bread and pastries were fabulous.
1.) We were assigned room 602. The ceiling beams extend very low and take away much useable space. I bonked my head on a couple of the beams until I got the layout of the room. It had a false ceiling covered only with a ceiling cloth, that came down to within 5' of the floor! The water closet and bathroom were fine. The room was clean and the safe kept our passports and other important items safely. 2.) One clerk (from Columbia, I believe...can't remember his name) really let us down on needing a pre-arranged taxi. I arranged for a specific driver/taxi whom we had take us to the Eiffel tower. The driver was punctual, professional, fair and had a very nice limo. He spoke some English. The clerk screwed up our request for a taxi to the airport 3 different times, once assigning that specific taxi to the wrong room. 3.) The breakfast room was small...I mean...really small! They had about 6, 2-person tables crammed into a small room. Tables were spaced inches from the other tables, so it was "close quarters" and a bit awkward getting seated or getting up for something while dining. 4.) The hotel is inset about 80-100 yards from the main boulevard. Taxi drivers had significant problems finding where to drop us off for the hotel because they are not allowed to drive to the actual hotel. it was very inconvenient when we arrived, having to roll 2 large roller luggage with 4 other ones (3 week, 4-country trip, plus we are in our 70s). 5.) The cost!!! We are long-term Booking.com clients and we were charged (we knew ahead of course) about $3,000 for just 4 nights! The hotel, while nice and "quaint," was not $750 USD quaint! Way over-priced, but it had what I would considering inflated ratings, over-looking certain important items.
