I had a lovely 3 night stay at Hotel Du Cygne in the single room w/ shared bathroom. The hotel is nothing fancy but it offers a clean and comfortable place to sleep, friendly staff at the 24hr reception, and an continental breakfast. The room was definitely smaller than what is shown in the photos but it had all I needed for my stay. It’s an older building with steep stairs, but it’s Paris-that’s to be expected. The shared bathroom was large, clean, and I honestly don’t actually think anyone else was using it.
The location is perfect! It’s a 2 minute walk from Etienne Marcel metro station, or Les Halles Chatelet is about 5 minutes and connects straight to Gare du Nord. Everything I visited was less than a 20-30 minutes metro ride, and I cycled a few times during my stay as well. You’ve got a Mecca of restaurants to choose from at the front door, and only a short 10 min stroll from the Seine. Les Halles Westfield is a 2 minute walk away.
There was a little bit of street noise early in the evening but it didn’t bother me for sleeping.
I’d definitely stay here again, it’s a great affordable option in central Paris.

Overall, if you’re looking for a convenient, safe & friendly place to stay in Paris and don’t mind a bit of noise, Hotel du Cygne is a good choice for its unbeatable location.
