Villa il Guercino in Montaione is a villa rental on a private wildlife reserve and was anciently a hunting lodge used by its noble owners. Situated on a hill, the villa dominates the surrounding countryside rich with woodlands, olive groves and vineyards. Its conversion has been carried out taking great care to preserve its character and the ancient construction materials of the Tuscan countryside. Thanks to its wide spaces, the villa is well suited for groups of friends who want to go on holiday together, or for large family celebrations, spending a week’s holiday with all the relatives. Thanks to its central position, the most famous Tuscan towns and cities such as Florence, Pisa or Volterra are within easy reach. For those who prefer smaller towns like San Gimignano, then they are spoilt for choice. The property is fenced and includes, as well as areas paved in terracotta and lawns, the swimming pool (7.5x15.0, 1.20/2.50m deep)(01/05-10/10) and a large loggia, well-equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas and a barbeque. The laundry room is in an external room (washing machine). The villa has heating and air conditioning. Included in the price: air conditioning, wi fi internet connection, final cleaning, utilities (water, gas and electricity, but not heating); swimming pool and garden maintenance, 1 mid week maid service (no linens change, for weekly stays). For stays longer than one week, a weekly cleaning with linen change is included. To be requested at the moment of booking and paid for on location: baby bed, highchair, local cook or chef, catering-service, shopping and delivery service on arrival/during your stay. Car park on the property.
PLEASE NOTE: Pets are allowed upon request. For stays with a pet the amount of the deposit will be Eu 1000.00. Not drinkable water. Check-in: between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. For late arrivals a 40 Euros fee will be applied. South wing: living/dining room with kitchen corner and single sofa, 1 double bedroom with bathroom with shower, 1 twin bedded room with bathroom with shower.
Dependance: Located by the pool is the dependance which includes 1 double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.LOCATION: 7,7 km Montaione (all kinds of shops), 27 km San Gimignano, 347 km Volterra, 58 km Florence, 67,7 km Siena.

The house was lovely and the pool was well maintained and warm. The only problem we had was that only 2 lights out of 8 on the veranda were working and the lights on the other side of the pool were not working at all. As we ate out there every evening (20 of us) it was a bit annoying. The lights on the veranda were fixed when I asked the maintenance man to look at them on day 4 of our holiday. Otherwise we had a great holiday there and would recommend the Villa for family holidays. The bathroom in the annex was fine but could be a bit bigger.

Wunderschöne Villa in Alleinlage (Montaione und Castelfiorentino sind in 10 Minuten zu erreichen), riesiger und vor allem sauberer Pool mit überdachter Loggia; ausreichend Kühlschränke, Küche gut ausgestattet, Grill könnte erneuert werden; Zimmer groß, Betten bequem, Bäder groß, Duschen eher klein aber ok; Buchung und Kontakt reibungslos; Dinner mit Aperitivo und Weindegustation im Ristorante Mannaioni war perfekt! Vielen Dank nochmals für die tolle Umsetzung!

Everything about the villa was perfect! Our family of 14 had more than enough room and enjoyed it very much. The pool was incredible on the hot days and the view just can't be beat! The rooms were spacious and each had its own bath which was very much appreciated by all. Daniela was waiting for us when we arrived and walked us through the house. She was awesome! I can't think of a single thing that we didn't like. The location of the villa made day trips to Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Cinque Terre, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, and the Chianti Valley very easy. The rental process went very smoothly. All my questions (sorry about asking so many!) were answered promptly and patiently. Thank you Daniela and everyone at VacaVilla for providing my family with a perfect vacation! I would definitely recommend Villa il Guercina to anyone looking for an enjoyable, peaceful, roomy place to stay in a great location in Tuscany.

Ancien relais de Chasse magnifique. Superbe préau. Bien équipé pour des grandes familles. Piscine à débordement avec vue sur les valons de Toscane.
Chaque chambre a une salle de bain.
En revanche : le mobilier de jardin est vieux, abimé, et fragile. Les réfrigérateurs sont trop faibles, l’électroménager est sous dimensionné. Les douches souvent cassées. L’accueil succinct rapide et l’état des lieux superficiel. Pas de Check out.
Très dommage pour une si magnifique maison qui perd de son charme
