The room was really nice we had a view of the river. The grounds are really nice and lots of space around. The bar area was great with lots of drinks choice and the small amount of food I did have was good.

There were quite a few mosquitoes in our room, even in winter, so I’m not sure how they got in. The hotel itself is really nice, although at dinner the main restaurant wasn’t open and they were serving an expensive buffet of food that was cold. I decided to order off the menu, but the service was quite slow. I do think breakfast should have been included for the price. Staff didn’t inform us of any of the spa facilities, which would have been nice, as I only found out they do Dermalogica facials on check-out. There was also a large group of locals who’d been on the river cruise congregating in the hotel grounds afterwards, which isn’t really relaxing for people who have paid a lot of money to stay there. We was going to have lunch after check out but left early due to this and also slow service.

The F&B staff were great, friendly and helpful. Lovely outlook to the river. Nice open patio. Beautiful grounds. Nice breakfast.

The little things. For the night rate we paid (AUS$500, I expected more. There was no introduction to the hotel at check-in. Had to figure it out ourselves. There was no hotel guide in the room, still unsure if there's room service. A staggered room servicing schedule meant you never knew what you would come back to. Had to ask for water replenishing and it would be put above the fridge, not in it. No soft drink mini bar. No one-way airport transfer which cost USD$100. The toilet ran unless you banged it, this was reported but never addressed and the front door stuck making it difficult to open and close without effort. This seemed a common problem so there was no sleeping in.
