We had an absolutely wonderful stay at B&B Dei Papi — truly one of the best experiences we’ve had in our travels. We always look for authentic, less touristy places that still offer high-quality service and real comfort, and this charming boutique property exceeded our expectations. The historic 13th-century residence has been beautifully restored, keeping its original character while offering all modern comforts. Our room was impeccably clean, extremely comfortable, and perfectly equipped. The beds were outstanding. Breakfast was exceptional, with delicious local products and great attention to presentation. What truly made our stay special were the hosts. They were always present, attentive, and remarkably thoughtful — often anticipating our needs before we even mentioned them. From offering the right type of glasses to preparing gluten-free options without being asked, everything was done with genuine care and elegance. This place is not just beautiful; it is run with heart, refinement, and a natural sense of hospitality. Our experience was not just a 10, but a 10+. We would return without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone looking for authenticity, comfort, and impeccable service.

Charming B&B with gracious and informative hosts.

The owners of this hotel are an artist and an art historian. The information they provided regarding the impressive medieval period paintings in Viterbo was fantastic. The ambience at the hotel is one that reflects their intelligent, creative and artistic personalities. The room we had was quite large, with a comfortable bed, bath and sitting area where we were served a beautiful breakfast with charming china and tableware. Their recommendation for dinner proved excellent. This couple understands the needs of travelers and how much graceful hospitality matters to them. The location is perfect for exploring Viterbo and its rich history. As a bonus, we had parking directly in front of the hotel.

This is not a modern establishment - if you can't climb a set of stairs and don't have an appreciation for historic environments, this isn't the place for you. If you want modernity, you will want a different establishment.

Hidden Gem

This hidden gem in the heart of Viterbo made for a very special, and memorable visit. From the moment we arrived, our hosts' went above and beyond. The architecture and interior design merge to create a storybook setting. And, the breakfast was an overwhelming potpourri of delicious homemade delights.

Although not a problem for us, be prepared for lots of stairs!

Wonderful host, superb location, highly recommend!

Our stay with Rosanna was wonderful! The B&B is in a perfect location in Viterbo, walkable to so many restaurants, shops, and historical sites. There was AC in the bedroom which was amazing because we were there in July during an insane heat wave. Plus, Rosanna brought us two fans to use in addition to the AC. She helped us order taxis when we needed, made sure we were comfortable multiple times and the breakfasts she prepared for us were delicious. The B&B is so charming with a large bedrooms and bathrooms considering how old the property is. I highly recommend staying here if you are in Viterbo!

It isn't always easy to get a vehicle into the main part of the city so I would recommend reaching out to Rosanna beforehand so she can advise on how best to reach the B&B with your luggage. We did not do this beforehand and I wish we had!

A unique beautiful B&B with exceptional attentive hosts

The property is unique and very special. The room is spacious and beautiful with a very comfortable bed, a huge jacuzzi bath tub and a separate bathroom. Plus a large living room area just for us where we were served our breakfast in private. The breakfast was delicious. Every detail thoughtful. The hosts are friendly and so kind. They helped us parking our car. They were available and friendly and amazing hosts. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It was one of the most special, unique and beautiful places we have stayed in Italy.

It was a charming place in the middle of medival row. The host was beyond amazing and accomodating.. the bed was super comfortable, and the jacuzzi tub was relaxing. Breakfast was served in suite with homemade Marmalade. I can't rave enough about this place. A visit to Viterbo is incomplete without the experience of a stay at Papi Boutique.

Splendid, historic & charming b&b

Rossanna and Antonio were the perfect hosts! Fantastic communication and incredibly generous in their offer to wait for us to return late Saturday night to facilitate parking. When we left for the evening, we could smell the delicious cake cooking for the next morning. So much attention to detail—mini fridge full of cold drinks (including bubbly!), a cookie tray full of treats, chocolates on the bedside table (along with sachets of lavender). Can’t wait to return!!

L avvolgente calore della boutique

La struttura in sé è magnifica molto accogliente e curata in ogni dettaglio. Sembra di stare in una struttura del ottocento. L accoglienza da parte di Rossana e il marito e’ da dieci e lode. La colazione poi preparata anche essa dai gestori e’ superlativa tutto fatto in casa. Pulizia da dieci e lode.Se si è stressati il calore di questa boutique è un ottima medica per scaricare tensioni anche grazie alla sala relax.

Ein Traum! Schöner und stilvoller kann man nicht wohnen! Und freundlicher und liebevoller kann man nicht umsorgt werden wie es Rosanna mit ihrem Mann tun. Es bleiben keine Wünsche offen, diese s einzigartige Hotel war ein Höhepunkt unserer Italienreise. Das Frühstück wird mit allem , was das Herz begehrt, von der liebenswürdigen Gastgeberin serviert, selbstgemachte Marmelade, Kuchen , verschiedene Brotsorten, Eierspeisen, Obst, es ist phantastisch! Wir können dieses Hotel nur als Juwel bezeichnen.

Una dimora all'insegna del gusto e della ricercatezza. Un soggiorno da ricordare

Un palazzo d'epoca incastonato nel centro medievale di Viterbo, un posto incantevole dove il tempo scorre lento, dove si respira un'atmosfera magica, dove regna l'eleganza degli arredi, dove si torna indietro nel tempo. La camera è grande, silenziosa e molto accogliente, finemente arredata e curata in ogni dettaglio con materiali di pregio, dotata di ogni confort e con una grande stanza da bagno con vasca idromassaggio, dove lo stress della città è un ricordo lontano .. Inoltre, si può godere anche degli spazi di un salone da ricevimento, impreziosito da suppellettili e mobilio ricercati . La colazione è ottima oltre che varia ed abbondante, con una particolare attenzione alla qualità dei prodotti, e viene servita in un salotto elegante. Rosanna e Antonio sono gentili e attenti a qualsiasi esigenza e con loro avete a disposizione degli storici dell'arte che possono consigliarvi al meglio sui luoghi e le opere da vedere. Die unterkunft ist aussergewöhnlich: wie oft im leben hat man die möglichkeit in einem gebäude dieser altersklasse zu übernachten … das von 2 so netten menschen wie Rosanna und Antonio geführt wird, denen keine stunde zu spät ist und immer bereit stehen, um die wünsche ihrer gäste best möglich zu erfüllen. Höhepunkt dieses hauses ist aber das tägliche frühstück, das man im jeweiligen salon des zimmers in dem man die nacht verbracht hat, einnimmt … Rosanna zieht hier sämtliche register … Für den kulturellen teil ist Antonio zuständig und zu einer visite Viterbos gehört natürlich der besuch im pabstpalast und der altstadt aber auch solcher esotherischer orte wie Bomarzo (Antonio hat hierüber eine abhandlung vetfasst hat, die einen die geheiminsvolle 500jährige geschichte dieses geheimnisvollen ortes eintauche lässt … und vieles mehr

Im Herzen der wunderschönen Altstadt von Viterbo liegt dieses pittoreske Bijoux welches mit Liebe und Passion von Rosanna und Antonio geführt wird. Schon beim betreten des Hauses sieht und spürt man die künstlerische Handschrift von Rosanna, die sich bis in die Zimmer widerspiegelt. Es ist ein Traum nur ein Steinwurf vom Papstpalast und mehren guten Restaurants entfernt. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend und wird in einem Vorzimmer der Suite serviert. Hier fehlt es wirklich an gar nichts und alle Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Antonio, ein ausgewiesener Kunstexperte, konnte uns Tipps für Ausflüge nennen, die man als normaler Tourist/Besucher nicht zwingend besichtigen würde. Ein grossartigerAufenthalt, der sicherlich wiederholt wird.
