We didn’t enjoy our stay at all it is not as advertised and is very misleading

Great overnight stay in a lovely little B&B

Location is great as we were there for a wedding and it’s almost opposite the town hall ! The bedroom was lovely and spacious with a great sized seperate bathroom with towels and toiletries ….room was boiling so had to turn the radiator down 😂 Duncan and Geoff were great and made us feel really welcome , breakfast was piping hot and cooked fresh . If we ever need to stay over night in south sheilds would definitely stay here again x

A fabulous breakfast and a great host. A great location for the GNR but obviously everywhere you stay is expensive because of this.

Warm welcome

I enjoyed the warm hosts' attitude. The breakfast was delicious. The shared bathroom was huge (there were two shared bathrooms), and our room was spacious.

Perfect b&b, it’s got everything you need. South Shields beach is beautiful.

Great location for a little mini break to the coast and local cities. The accommodation is really nice, clean and was more than adequate for our needs (a large room with some cooking facilities, a kitchen sink and a bathroom sink in addition to the expected bedroom furniture). It was a shared bathroom, but there were two large bathrooms, very clean, great shower. We didn’t have any issues with sharing and didn’t need to wait for other guests to be finished at any point. The owner is lovely, very friendly, gave us some great information about the local area and the best way to get around. Breakfast was lovely, cereal, toast, cooked breakfast etc. It was fantastic value for money, we’d recommend it and we will definitely return again, thank you!

A must stay

We were in room 10 at the back of the house, and it was very private. We also were able to use the garden area, which was fabulous. The staff were amazing, helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was included, and it was one of the best I've ever tasted freshly cooked. We will be going back very soon

Just what we needed- great value

Lovely host! Easy to find location. Room was clean and tidy with all the amenities you would want (tea/ coffee/ TV/ hanging space/ fan). Excellent power shower! Handy that we were given a cot free of charge. The home cooked breakfast was also delicious with plenty of toast and cereals alongside if you like.

Just unfortunate that it’s situated on a fairly busy road, so you get traffic noise- more if you have the windows open though. Easy to find parking on side streets though nearby.

A short walk to the centre to the town. They served free breakfast, and the staff was pleasant. Really can't complain for the price!

The room was very hot, so we had to open the window, although at night we couldn't keep it open as it was next to the road. Could have done with a fan.

Big spacious room, high ceilings and really airy. Host was fantastic, welcoming and clear in his instructions about the room and front door

Very comfortable stay in the middle of South Shields

In centre of South Shields, close to the magnificent town hall, and within walking distance of the Metro terminus. We had a large en-suite room, very comfortable and immaculately decorated. Wifi worked. Owner was very friendly and chatty. Breakfast was fine, my partner got porridge by special request. Variety of restaurants nearby for evening meals.

Location & Owner was a friendly guy

- Parking be quick, most of the area surround is permits only. There is a street adjacent to hotel where spaces are available but you have to drop on. - Not a great sleep at all. We stayed on the bottom floor and the noises kept us up From the road traffic, an altercation outside the property, fellow guest arriving early hours through the front door and also a consistent intermittent sound from the fridge or heating system that kicked in throughout the night. - Breakfast came around too quick, last serving was 9:30 however at 7:50 fellow guest was up for an even early breakfast which was heard loud & clear. - Shower area was upstairs in a small shared toilet / small shower cubical which was freezing - Checkout time was 10:30 which was on the early side.
