I needed a good rest, and that was what I received. I totally relaxed.

The breakfast was a typical French breakfast of yogurts, fruit jams boiled eggs and prosciutto . But the 4 dinners I had excelled, were magnificent, and an amazing chef. I would give a Michelin standard. BTW Olivier my host is a seasoned traveller himself, very worldly and intelligent, and fluent in English and French. So there are never misunderstandings. I want to say what good value the experience was.

friendly warm welcome but needs some work to the hotel

very friendly and helpful owner , a nice old building and was told its in the middle of some restoration work. the evening meal was top quality and very enjoyable. nice breakfast help yourself mainly cold buffet . Although we stayed in the Annex so did not get a feel of the main hotel,Our room was small but comfy our fiends room was moldy and smelt the owner apologized but did not reduce the price which we thought would have been a nice gesture the window had to be open all night to put up with the smell not great on a chilly evening. (what a shame ) :-(

A relaxing and fun weekend in a lovely rural part of France

Its a lovely old building in a very nice village, owned by a quirky but delightful guy. The welcome is warm and the food is great

Business stay

The proprietor was friendly and couldnt do enough to assist with anything you could want. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Even though the regular chef was off ill there was still a beautiful 3 course meal every evening. The building itself is amazing, filled with loads of original features. The location is ideal with good parking. Coffee and tea facilities in the room were welcome.

The bar was still under renovation at the time of my stay, so drinks were limited. But ive been told it will be up and running with the next few weeks.

Very disappointing as it was supposed to be a treat

Brilliant Location and welcoming friendly manager. Dog made very welcome and ease of parking in front of the hotel

The room and corridor were dark and shabby. Cleanliness was not good throughout the hotel but at its worst in the bathroom that had a dirty shower, cracked plaster and grimy corners. Towels and sheets were old and worn

Pleasant

Could take bicycles into our room. Breakfast was good. Host worked very hard to meet the needs of visitors but more staff needed in restaurant.

No toiletries in the bathrooms. Service in restaurant was slow. Restaurant was VERY expensive and we left feeling hungry. Hotel clearly past its heyday.

Right in the centre of this historic town and also quite an historic inn -1832, French american owner extremely helpful in these covid times. Dinner was excellent and also breakfast. Loads of hot water also. Parking right outside.

Excellent stay, delightful restaurant, great local products and a warm welcome.

We had the most pleasant stay at Relais Saint Louis. We stayed with our little family for two days and enjoyed the fine cooking and excellent wines in the restaurant, fresh local products at breakfast and the welcoming charm of the owners of the relais. Traveling with a baby and a four year old is great fun, however it is sometimes challenging to dine together as a couple. Here we were able to put the children to sleep our room above the restaurant, have the babyphone by the side of the table and have two splendid nights. We highly recommend Relais Saint Louis and look forward to return to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature and villages.
