A lovely hotel like this should not need to be told there is no water in the fridge for two days. One of the sun beds was broken and “wired” as a repair . Ran out of marmalade!!

Breakfast pleasant but needs more thought, Poole area nice , but the pool walls need a good chlorine scrub to remove the green Stains. Downstairs room a little noisy at night but it was large ,with good facilities.The duty manager was lovely and tried hard to give information and help!

Beautiful property with a pool and view of the surrounding mountains. All the rooms seemed beautifully done, very modern and clean. The breakfast was very good, inside or in the garden. Fairly conveniently located next to Stellenbosch and wineries. Car required though.

Would have been nice if there was a public microwave. There was a 300 rand fee for checking in after 7pm, and it would have been nice if there was flexibility for late check in without a fee.

We returned in 2026 and are planning to go back in 2027

Breakfast was excellent, well balanced, presented and more than enough. Please note that if going self catering,breakfast is an additional cost (was R160 pp). Room was great with good quality fixtures, kitchen perfectly equipped complete with freezer/washing machine/dryer/microwave etc etc - all you have at home (not sure about air fryer). Short drive to Stellenbosch with loads of good quality shops, bars and restaurants - three weeks over the Western Cape and didn't have one bad meal - for three even when pushed boat out in "expensive" restaurant - 40 pounds pp (Codfather)

Very minor - TV could have been able to "mirror screen" or sign in to streaming services etc. Also would have preferred a slightly bigger swimming pool....only had one aircon unit in the lounge (large lounge/large bedroom/kitchen/utility room) perhaps small unit in bedroom? Would stress - these are minor

Amazing stay!

It was amazing, very comfortable family room. Nice personnel, very warm greeting. Terrace outside was so cool for dinner with family in very quiet atmosphere and perfect view on mountains. Very good location, 3 mons from Spier vine farm. In room we had different games for kids, we enjoyed playing!

This was a superb country retreat set in a vineyard farm estate.

The staff are attentive and very helpful, the breakfast beautifully served and delicious but not excessive.

Our only suggestion is to have a better selection of TV programs. No news channels or entertainment in keeping with the style and international and local clientele of the guest house.

Incredible views, beautiful room - excellent location for other activities in the area!

The room was beautiful- spacious, light with a superbly comfortable four poster bed and large ensuite bathroom with large freestanding bath overlooking the garden and double shower. The room had a door directly into the garden (and down to the pool) which was incredibly convenient! We had breakfast served in our room and ate outside in the sunshine overlooking an exception view.

Stellenbosch Gem 💎

The manager and staff were welcoming and wonderful 😊 The accommodation was great, and the breakfast was scrumptious 😋 It was a bit cold when we arrived, so they had the heaters already on in our rooms. They lit the fireplace for us the next morning at breakfast and moved our table closer to the fireplace. All in all, it was the best guest house stay we had had in a long time.

The place is very homey. It is like a vacation house for royalty. A very relaxing place to stay.

The room was very pleasant. The breakfast was very well prepared and served. The room ceiling is high so the heating of the room takes time. But turning on the heat in advance will solve this problem.

They have several selections for breakfast. So my 5 day stay, I was able to try the different choices. But I liked the Eggs Benedict best and the egg omelette is very good as well. The servants were very courteous.

The setting was gorgeousl with exceptional views and the house was beautiful.. The rooms were spacious with seating areas outside your room where you could read and relax. Upstairs balcony with table and chairs and the most beautiful gardens and pool. Everything was maintained to a very high standard. I could not fault anything.
