We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was cosy, welcoming and perfect for a weekend getaway. The beds were very comfortable, and the electric blankets were a particularly welcome touch - Clarens was certainly chilly at night while we were there! The kitchen is on the smaller side, so it would not be ideal for preparing elaborate meals, but we managed perfectly well. Given all the wonderful restaurants in Clarens, many visitors would probably eat out anyway. We really appreciated the daily service, with the fireplace cleaned out and a new fire laid each morning. Having the accommodation serviced each day, including the dishes being washed and the beds made, was lovely and made our stay even more enjoyable. A huge thank you to Craig for waiting for us to arrive and for making the key handover so easy. His warm hospitality was much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Clarens and would happily stay here again. The Clarens Country House is a real little gem in a beautiful town!

The facility owner communicates very well. He helped us with things like starting barbecue fire at night.
Closeness to the main gate making the facility easy to access. The facility is clean and warm. There’s a cozy glass veranda.

The room was chilly. The gas heater emitted a dangerous amount of gas, so we turned it off
