Initially I was a little put off by the notion that I couldn't get the entire entry code until just before I entered the property. However, it all worked out fine and I appreciated the concern and care of the host.
Lots of WhatsApp messages, perhaps 12-15 when I arrived in Porto. I think the idea number would be 1-2 messages. However, the messages were designed to help me enjoy Porto and make a smooth transition to the lodging, so they were well-intentioned

Very easy system to enter from street and the apartment. Apartment is clean and well-maintained with everything you need. It features a wrap-around balcony overlooking the street. It can be noisy at night on the weekend, so ear-plugs may be needed.

Small but very chic, done up in a modern style but with charming old-fashioned windows and shutters - this is a great flat in an excellent central location. The view directly onto a giant cat mural was an unexpected extra! There was some noise from (rather good) live music in the evening, and the landlady provided earplugs in case we needed them. Near the metro, cafés, restaurants and the beginning of the old medieval quarter.
I was a bit surprised that a deposit of €300 was taken in case of things being broken, but it wasn’t actually charged.
