A great place for exploring the city. Close to everything, you could even park your car nearby. Very friendly staff, with helpful tips on what to see and how to do in this unique city. Very good breakfast. I highly recommend it.

Proximity to the heart of Matera

The hotel is conveniently located about a 15-minute walk from the Sassi (Matera’s old town). It is nice and comfortable, and Bruna, who welcomed us, was very kind—she even greeted us with an espresso! She prepared a perfect and delicious breakfast with homemade cakes. Overall, the breakfast was outstanding.
We couldn’t shower on the first night as the water was completely cold. After we reported the issue, a woman and a man came promptly to check, and the man adjusted the boiler. Hot water was restored around midnight.
On the second day, the water temperature improved but was still not hot enough for a proper hotel-standard shower, especially considering the prices charged. It seems the boiler temperature may be intentionally kept low, which made the experience less comfortable.
That said, we do appreciate their quick response and efforts to address the issue.
