Chipmunk Too Log Cabin sleeps up to 10 with spectacular lake/beach and Mountain views. The upstairs has a king bedroom with a twin bed also and a loft area with seating and views. The main floor has two queen bedrooms, and the living room open to the fully enclosed, covered deck overlooking the lake and beach area. The lower level has a set of bunkbeds and a queen futon sleeper and is open to the game room with pool table, large flat screen tv, play station and sofa.
The lower level opens to the lower deck with seating and spectacular lake/mountain views. There are steps in back yard down to the lake/beach area and the riverwalk with waterfall is walking distance from the back yard- across the road from the beach. - Charcoal grill on deck. All linens/towels provided. Kitchen fully equipped for cooking. NOTE- there are no steps from the parking area to the main floor of the cabin. The main floor has two bedrooms and bathroom.
We are minutes from the big lake, Lake Lure which is now open for 2026 season and minutes from Chimney Rock State Park and iconic Chimney Rock Village! We centrally located to many activities such as pontoon boat rentals, zip-lining, kayaking, canoeing, snow tubing, snow skiing, horseback riding, white water rafting, numerous golf courses, putt- putt, fishing, fly fishing, spectacular hiking trails, mountain bike trails, Lake/River side dining, Biltmore House and Asheville and numerous local wineries and breweries, Tryon Equestrian Center with daily horse events with dining and weekly summer festivals and concert, and much more! There are activities for every season!

Enjoyed the quiet location and areas to walk around and explore outside. Indoor fireplace made things very cozy. Pool table was fun.Located close to things in Lake Lure.

We had the best time at this cabin! Lake and river were just steps away. I went with my two best friends and they got engaged by the lake. Will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay. The location is as advertised, a very short walk to the beach and the river. The cabin was clean and we had zero issues. We would definitely book again.

Quaint cabin with a wonderful view and had the charm of a true log home - decor was thoughtful and we enjoyed the indoor fireplace. It was nice to have enough of some items like trash bags, dish soap, etc., to get us started.
The first 24 hours there were a little rough and frustrating:
- Took 8-10 calls, to the owners, to be able to get into the gate upon arrival...literally had us panicking a little bit about where we were going to spend the night.
- Didnt have wifi for the first 14 hours. Owner did respond the next day to contact the provider.
- Both bathroom shower curtains were full of black mold and orange lanolin. Believe the cause (in basement) is due to the shower not draining - ankle deep in grey water. Not Owner did drop off new ones on a picnic table in the back yard for us to put up / replace ourselves.
- The hot tub not working properly - owner contacted company the next day to obtain fix.
- Decorative pillows on couch were covered in pet hair. We read that animals were not allowed on the furniture
- Kitchen supplies left a good bit to be desired: Can openers that dont work - leaving us with some uneaten food, no serving spoons so we used an ice cream scoop and teaspoons for serving meals, only 2 towels and one dish cloth available to use in kitchen for 5 days so we did some unexpected laundry, and most of the dishes we used had to be washed to remove food from before using.
Once these things were resolved we did enjoy our additional 3 days stay.
