Shame as it has potential

Location was good, 15 minute walk to the nearest village and in a nice location.

Overall, we felt our visit was a chore to the owner who lives opposite. We arrived when planned and agreed (5 pm), and the property was not ready. The whole place was seriously unkempt and not clean. Towels, plates, bowls, and glasses all mix matched from, what looked like, a charity shop. It felt damp, musty and dark and the lighting was quite cold. There is a dishwasher but no tablets. On arrival, we were told there was a noise which could have come from the fridge, as it is, the fridge did not work at all, which meant we ended up throwing some fresh food we had bought. The garden was huge, but a massive weed patch with dog poo in bags from previous visitors still sitting there... a real shame as the place has huge potential.

Exceptional

We had a great time here on our way to Calais. 40-year-old loved the slide in the garden and there was plenty of space and open air. Everything was clean, tidy and well maintained. Communication was great too. We would recommend this day for families with small children. Thanks!

The property was clean. it had lots of stuff for a small place. Big garden

I found the bed small an hard and it squeaked if you moved. the owner said the garden was enclosed (for our dog) but it wasn’t and she could’ve gone into the road if she was off lead. The loo is downstairs and if you need the loo during the night the stairs are a bit slippery.

On y était que pour une nuit mais lit vraiment confortable et la couverture très agréable.

Rien a dire nous y étions que pour la nuit. Donc difficile de juger plus. Mais je retiens le logement pour une prochaine fois si je dois venir dans la région. 😊

Nous avons apprécié ce gîte qui est à proximité du cabaret de licques. Un acceuil chaleureux avec un petit déjeuner vraiment très bon. Il ne manquait rien.

Gezellige inrichting, van alle gemakken voorzien. Dichtbij Calais, ideaal als voorovernachting voor de Shuttle.

De 2e slaapkamer is voor kinderen en alleen bereikbaar via de 1e slaapkamer die weer een open verbinding heeft met de benedenverdieping.

Acceuil et logement super mais nuit gâchée par la chaleur et les moustiques

L'endroit est très sympa, l'accueil est très sympathique. Le jardin est magnifique et on peut observer de magnifiques oiseaux. Le logement et la cuisine est bien équipé (café offert également) et ils disposent de nombreux lits. Un lit bébé a été mis à disposition!

Les chambres à l'étage sont très chaudes (alors que ce n'était même pas la canicule). Vous avez le choix entre mourir de chauds ou vous faire manger par les moustiques. Pour recommander cet endroit pendant la saison chaude, il faudrait installer des moustiquaires, après ce serait parfait.

Waren een uurtje vroeger en dat was geen probleem. Vriendelijke host Chantal !! Prachtig terras waar het leuk zitten is. Mooie tuin, mits het nodige onderhoud gewoon prachtig ! Ligging is TOP !!
