Great stay - would recommend!

The room was clean and cozy, and the property is a five minute walk from the metro making it easy to get around the city. The breakfast spread was excellent and the host and staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

Great, convenient location and delicious breakfast.

Breakfast was delicious, with pastries and fresh bread, delicious coffee, cheese and jams. We were served at the table, in a very cozy and intimate atmosphere. Perfect! Host was very accommodating, and everything was easy and streamlined (check in, communication, payment).

Good location. Interesting house with lots of quirky furnishings and extensive library. Excellent continental breakfast.

There was a lamp hanging off the wall in our room which didn't look very sightly.

location was great ... in the heart of the classy Auteil area 16eme ... the hotel is a boutique family owned business, it was very clean ,,,, classy French decor spacious interior you feel that you are in a family house and not a hotel. lovely French breakfast.

the quality of bedsheets and pillows is below average... no elevator and steep stairs.

When advertised it mentions garden access, which we did see but to access the garden you must access through the kitchen, when the kitchen door is shut there is a sign saying that it is a private space please respect, so we felt that going out to the garden meant we would disturb them hosts.

More like a visit with friends than the standard hotel.

The breakfast offered a good choice. The location was excellent for us, close to family. It is a small intimate hotel with character. The staff was very helpful.

The staff were not always easy to locate. They hadn’t checked that we had enough towels, - we didn’t.

Authentic Parisian and exceptional stay!

This property was exceptional!!! It is so authentically Parisian and has so many pieces from different periods. The breakfast room was my favourite and the mini library behind the bed etc. I had just returned from trips from DC and New York and Europe was my last exhibition stop before returning home so I wanted a more boutique hotel, authentic European experiential stay since I had been staying in hotels and Villa Du Square exceeded my expectations. The property is very clean, the host - Christophe is very responsive and attentive. His daughter welcomed me and gave me so many tips - where to eat, what to do - she was very warm. Breakfast is served every morning and I took my breakfast out in the garden on one of the days. There are also numerous, cool, quaint, exotic (pick your choice) restaurants in within a 1-2 mile radius. The property was quiet and I loved my street view every morning. My room was cleaned everyday and I always came back to a sparkling, refreshed room. I stayed for 7 nights and I didn’t want to leave. I loved it there and I will be back soon! A big thank you to Christophe and his amazing family!

The WiFi didn’t always work on my floor but there are different ones for different floors so I switched connections between floors and it was okay.

Home-like ambience and very stylish. Very friendly staff and excellent location.

The friendliness of the staff and the location are the main advantages of the hotel. Rooms were stylish, elegant and very spacious. Overall the home-like ambience, the marvelous back yard and the parking facilities on site make this hotel an excellent choice.

The wifi could use some improvement since it was really weak (basically non-existent) in our room.

Pleasant

Close to a metro station (Jasmin). The continental breakfast was delish, fresh coffee, juice and water along w/ yogurt, bread/croissants, jams were available. Kettle in the room. There is a supermarket across the street. Heated towel rack also nice to dry hand washed clothes. Very nice rainshower head and hand held shower. The private courtyard is adorable! Great windows! Air conditioning!

While close to the metro, this is not the place for you if you're looking for a lively neighborhood, but if you're looking for quiet and secluded, it will be a nice for you! We paid a lot of money for the room and there were no toiletries, picked some up at the grocery. No shelf in shower area for toiletries. The sink in our room was very shallow and we got water all over!

An oasis of calm in the city

The owner was very welcoming, and the house and garden are amazing. Breakfast was varied and delicious. The room was clean and quiet. It felt like being a guest at a friend's house rather than a hotel. Lovely stay!

Though the owner tried his best, we never figured out the air conditioning, but there was such a personal touch it didn't really matter. We did find the room a tad on the small side though, and the bed a bit hard (although that is down to personal preference as well).

A real charming parisian experience

Christophe is fantastic. He cares about all the details of your stay (beyond the hotel experience). It was the perfect place for a couple's short trip. Loved the location, not touristy but close enough to the main attractions. Breakfast was incredible, there were always delicious options available.

Villa du Square was exceptional. The whole atmosphere was more like a family home with a beautiful peaceful garden in the centre of Paris. The Garden Room is a must when booking. Perfect location for the Alain Ducasse Cookery School.

A perfect Paris home from home

The Villa du Square is a perfect place to weekend like a Parisian. A home from home. The host is charming, the furniture and art borrowed from his family homes, some of which belonged to Yves Saint Lauren. Breakfast was good, fresh coffee juice and croissants. We ate very well at a place round the corner. I can recommend a weekend walk through the Bois du Boulonge when the roads are closed to traffic and taken over by Parisian families at play. Alternatively walk the other direction to the Seine and stroll down past the Eiffel Tower.

A rare gem, one of a kind

This is one of the rarest finds that you can come across here. A private mansion filled with artworks, design objects and sweet memories of the past opens its doors - and from now on, I can hardly imagine staying anywhere else while in Paris. With its cosy intimate setting, Villa du Square gives you a feeling of home away from home, of a stay at friends’ rather than in a hotel. The grand piano in the salon is a cherry on the top for those who need to practice while traveling :-) And yes - the location is perfect, the rooms are comfortable, the service is warm and accommodating.

Nothing could’ve been better. This property is a special opportunity to live like a Parisian in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. The room was lovely and the home has an elegant feel with antiques and art. A very good alternative to the tourist hotels and neighborhoods.

Nice and non conventional guest house located in the 16th district of Paris

The house is very well located in a quiet street close to metro Jasmin. Nice restaurants around. Area very nice. Breakfast is in the French tradition and tasty with fresh products (croissants, brioche..) direct from the bakery. Excellent jam. The room was cosy and rather big for Paris. Heating working very well and easy to regulate. Decoration is creating a nice and warm atmosphere.

The wifi was working although not very strong but I managed to do meetings connected to digital tools. Minor defaults in the bathroom.

Great stay at Christophe’s place. The guest house is very nicely decorated and has a very warm and comfy setup. It’s garden provides the peaceful feeling of being within a privileged secret nature hideout within Paris. The guest is very caring and brings lots of attention for you to enjoy your stay.
