Spacious, bright, terrace and sea view garden, near beaches and harbor, air conditioning / wf

For the first week we were 4 adult friends in our 70s staying in Llanca without a car. We loved the views from the terrace and watching the amazing skies from sunrise to sunset and were even treated to a rainbow. An easy walk to two beaches. We walked to town for groceries and dining as we decided not to rent a car and used local taxis for day trips. It was a short walk to town that included an uphill climb that might be difficult for some with mobility issues. Because we did not speak Spanish we had a bit of trouble engaging taxis but got by with the kindness of strangers and Google translate! The place was immaculate and stocked with all the conveniences you needed. Joan Anton was very responsive when we had a scare about a lost wallet (which was later found) by contacting the police for us. Felix Garcia was the taxi driver we used the most and he took us to Port de la Selva and Cadaques as well as getting us to the train station with luggage. We also took the train to Figures. The second week two friends left and we were joined by my son and daughter-in-law from Germany who rented a car which simplified getting around and allowed us to see some of the many wonderful sights in the area. They included the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, a relaxing 2 hour boat trip from Cadaques, Pals and a wonderful organic winery in Selva de Mar, named Estela tucked in the hills and farmed for 35 years by a woman and her sons. We really loved this little corner of Spain!

The two week stay was perfect. Joan is a thoughtful host and very attentive to guest satisfaction. The announcement corresponds to what the house offers: large, very clean and welcoming, with a large terrace with sea view. A rental solution that I highly recommend

We returned for our second time because we fell in love with this condo and the location on our first stay. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. Joan was a great and available host. The beaches were close by and the coastal pathways were spectacular. We hope to come again.

I found this apartment for my parents (ages 76 and 80) for a 3-week vacation. Our host was kind enough to meet us at the train station and show my parents around the apartment--how to use the appliances, get to the beach, etc. After one night in the apartment, both of my parents remarked that they could easily get used to living in such luxury! Having two bathrooms was especially convenient (and Ive found to be rare in European rentals), and all of the bedrooms are roomy and comfortable. The kitchen has all modern conveniences, tons of cabinets, and an ideal lay-out for cooking. In fact, my entire family met at this apartment several times to enjoy meals on the terrace. Because we experienced an unusually high amount of rainfall, this was very nice: we could still enjoy the amazing views while dining under the covered terrace. In addition to the spacious terrace, my mother loved the private rose garden.Although there is an enclosed garage, we did not have a car. My parents found the short walk to a large supermarket to be easy enough. They enjoyed walking to the old village of Llanca almost daily, browsing the stores or just having coffee. On the other hand, the walk to the coastal path to reach several beaches was even easier! The train station is approximately 10-15 minutes on foot, and we traveled to nearby cities and sites easily. We have vacationed on the coast of France several times in the past and were seeking a quieter place with beautiful, less crowded beaches. We found that in Llanca but, without the hosts incredible compilation of information (in several languages) regarding nearby sites of interest and activities, we would not have had such a great vacation! Thanks to their well-organized notebooks, my mother and I were able to choose day trips to suit all family members interests. My only hesitation is writing this review is that I fear Llanca will become heavily trafficked and lose its tranquil charm! We are already looking forward to returning to Llanca next summer and will definitely stay with Joan.
