The entire vibe of Guest House Nishiki is pleasant and calming.

The room was lovely and authentic with great views. The room was definitely good value for money for such a beautiful location. There was a convenience store within a 10 minute drive. The owner was helpful to show us what hikes were nearby although it rained so we were unlucky.

The common areas were basic and a little untidy but we didnt mind. We had to ask permission to use the shower (which was in a separate building) outside of the hours 4pm - 10pm - we like morning showers so it was a little inconvenient having to ask each evening. Having to walk outside in the rain to the shower room was inconvenient. We had to pay a small fee to use the cooker. We initially found the owner to be unwelcoming... but maybe he was having a bad day, as later in our stay he was friendly. I'd reccomend having a car as this location as it is far from most hikes/shops/cafes.
