Irida Vacation Suites

Our family (kids 11 and 14) had a fantastic stay at Irida. The facilities were beautiful and spotless, and the room was well suited to comfortably accommodate our group of four. A bonus - the beds had the first fully.comfortable mattresses of any property on our multi-stop Greek vacation. All staff were lovely and helpful, and the included buffet breakfast and supplementary poolside snacks and cocktails were perfect. The beach was a short walk (less than five minutes) and we enjoyed a great oceanside dinner at Paradise Tavern (10 minute walk). Highly recommend this well-priced and warmly run boutique property to any travellers to Kastraki!

Kastraki is a very quiet beach but has little shade. Recommend borrowing an umbrella from Irida, or going to the rental sunbeds on the beach to the left of the hotel.

We wanted a fly, ferry and flop holiday for a week, away from commercial hype and the crowds, and we got it in spades at this small but perfectly formed boutique hotel. So very relaxing. A lovely pool and really comfortable loungers, with a fast and efficient pool service. We loved hearing the goats with their bells being herded past us every afternoon. The beach is literally a 5 minute walk away and was all but empty when we wandered down late one afternoon. The 2 bed apartment was comfortable, although be aware the stairs to the 1st floor bedroom are quite steep. A number of reviews mention the hard beds, which I very much welcomed - they were super comfortable, I slept so well all week. The breakfast was freshly made and presented. Pastries, freshly baked pies, bread, fruit, eggs etc. Plentiful and all very delicious. The pool menu was great and whilst we didn't tend to eat at lunchtime (apart from an ice cold beer or two!), our teen son was very happy with the food choices, quality and portion sizes. Alessandra and her team really could not do any more for us, going way beyond the standard service. We were genuinely sad to leave these lovely people. There are 5 or 6 tavernas all within a 10-20 minute easy walk of the hotel, all excellent. If you want to see the island, then a car or quad bike is essential. We took our laziness to the next level and just got a taxi into Naxos Town for a day. The old town is absolutely beautiful - a must see, and I ate the best sardines ever at a restaurant along the front there!

All was wonderful - If I was to make a suggestion, perhaps some artwork and cushions around the apartment would have made it feel a little more homely.

Gorgeous apartment with lovely pool, excellent breakfast. Alexandra was a superb hostess, gave us lots of great advice about where to go and what to do.
