Wisma Bunda

We initially booked two nights here and ended up extending our stay by another eight days. I think that says enough on its own. The hosts are incredibly friendly and are always happy to have a nice chat if that’s something you enjoy. The room is very clean, the air conditioning works well, and if you need a fresh towel, you can simply ask for one. They also offer a laundry service. We got our clothes back clean and smelling great. In addition, they rent out bicycles and electric scooters, which are almost brand new. All in all, we had a wonderful stay here. If we ever return to this island, we would definitely book our accommodation here again!

If I had to mention one minor downside, it would be the showers. The water was sometimes a bit cold, and there was no way to adjust the temperature. However, we stayed at several other places on the island and experienced the same thing there, so it may simply be that hot water is not widely available on the island.

Great rooms - clean, comfortable, good wifi & good aircon. Family are very friendly and welcoming.

The people are very friendly and will help you with whatever you need. It’s only a short walk to the main area (5 minutes). They rent (electric) bikes. The rooms are spacious and the bed is large. There is a fridge in the room and good AC. Breakfast is simple, but good.

This is difficult, as it depends on what your expectations are coming in. Expect a fairly modern room that’s reasonably well build/finished (to western standards). But also expect an outdoor cold (private) shower and toilet that are not as nice (things aren’t build/finished to western standards). Expect the occasional bug in your room. The hassle of having to go outside into the heat to go to the toilet. The bed blanket is very thin and the AC at night is hard to tune down, resulting in a rather cold night.
