Villa Alkinoos

What a find. Such a lovely spacious property, fabulous pool, choice of outdoor areas, friendly owner when she popped in. The grounds were filled with olive trees and flowers. When we didn’t fancy the 15 minute walk down to Gaios, it was only a minute or so to Paxos Resort. Loved the local taxi company Christos, Aglia was very entertaining. So pleased we took a taxi with her to Lakka beautiful resort. And thoroughly enjoyed hiring a boat and taking it to Antipaxos and around Paxos.

The third bedroom was rather small and had a fan rather than air conditioning.

Beautiful gardens and outdoor space.

WiFi very intermittent & not good if you need to work. No mosquito nets on windows. Shower was a trickle and sprayed the bathroom floor. Gardener leaf clearing outside bedroom window at 8 am very intrusive.

Suur ja imekaunis "võlu aed". Jõudsime õhtul, kui aiavalgustid põlesid ja abikaasa arvas, et nii ilus koht ei saa meile olla, äkki eksisime villaga. Kahjuks puhkus sai läbi sel korral, aga Villa Alkinoos jäi meile väga südamesse ja kindlasti plaanime uut külastust.

We wanted a villa within walking distance of Gaios. Villa Alkinoos is just a 10 minute downhill walk into the centre with its restaurants, supermarkets, and harbour. The villa was stunning, surrounded by olive trees with a beautiful pool, plenty of seating, bbq, outside shower, and shaded terraces. Inside the villa, the kitchen was adequately equipped to be able to cook dinner. There are three good-sized bedrooms with plenty of storage. We visited in October, so we had no need for air-conditioning, but it was provided in the main rooms. Good wifi. The villa was clean and very well maintained.

We could only stay for a week!
