The room were up to date. They had amazing air con and a modern bathroom.
The lift was a bit worrying. It was perfectly fine just could only fit about one person and when you get in it does a slight jolt down which is a little concerning. However this isn’t a major issue and is still perfectly fine to use. Check in did take a little longer than expected the receptionist made me download the ibis app and create an account which I felt was unnecessary as I booked it through booking.com and didn’t use the app once.

Great location for people arriving by the train to Gare du Nord or Gare de l'est. Walkable and very close to public transport. The staff were courteous and the breakfast was decent. They gave me a room with bright lights on the 7th floor - had nice sky view.
The lift is too small (2 person lift) and it can be a problem if you travel with big luggage. So, plan accordingly.

Really near the Gare de L'Est, OK just to sleep in, water and drinks (free) in the foyer
