About this villa rental
The Villa Mastaguera Roger, built in stone, is located in an excellent rural location near Pollensa and the sandy beaches of Puerto Pollensa, with perfect views over the Puig de Maria. This villa, with its 3 air-conditioned bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, cosy interiors and beautiful gardens, is an excellent choice for families seeking a relaxing holiday surrounded by nature, but close to stunning beaches and traditional towns.
Inside, the villa (carefully renovated and with beautiful finishes) is distributed over 2 floors. On the ground floor, there is a living room, an open-plan kitchen on the right side and a dining room on the left side. There is also a double bedroom with a family bathroom with a shower. A staircase leads to the first floor, where there is a double bedroom and a room with 2 single beds, both sharing a family bathroom with a shower.
In the exterior, the gardens of Villa Mastaguera Roger have been carefully designed to impress. There are mature palm trees, flowers, shrubs, lawn and even a beautiful fountain! This is the perfect place for a relaxing walk, enjoying the perfect climate of Mallorca. The large private pool is surrounded by lawn and features comfortable sun loungers. The barbecue and dining table for 6 people (in front of the pool) are the perfect complement for dining outdoors.

Information to take into account:
In the event of key loss or if keys are left inside the accommodation, a charge of 50 € will be applied during office hours and 75 € outside of those hours. The new keys must be collected from our office by the guest.
On the day of departure, no rubbish must be left on the property. Guests must remove all waste; otherwise, a fee of €150 for waste management will be applied.
The guest registration is mandatory by law in Spain (Royal Decree 933/2021 of 26 October) and in Greece (Law 4446/2016). Close to the arrival date, we will send an online check-in link to register all guests.

We liked the comfort and the structure of the house. The large cupboards in the rooms were very handy. The fact that the well equipped kitchen is near the large terrace and swimming pool ensured the continuous connection with the whole family.
Airconditioning was not working decently. Thankfully the weather was not too hot when we were staying there.

The good: Villa Roger is a beautiful, classic country home in a very quiet location that is still close to Pollensa. The grounds are lovely and the pool is beautiful, even though we didn't swim.
The not so good: We arrived at midnight and the key box would not open. We tried everything and then called the emergency number. Fortunately someone answered and when he ran out of suggestions called a local man who arrived about 15 minutes later with his wife. After he couldn't open it either, he broke it open with a hammer and chisel. He suspected that the previous tenant changed the code. Arg! The pump for the house has a leak on the pipe and won't hold pressure for more than 45 seconds. So you hear it cycle on and off 24 hours a day, which is annoying until you finally tune it out. This is an easy fix for a plumber as I could see the joint where the leak was occurring. The kitchen sink was partially stopped up and didn't drain well. It got worse during our stay. Another job for the plumber. The kitchen appliances are getting long-in-the-tooth. Only 2 out of 5 burners on the range top would light and the dishwasher is in really rough shape. The appliances are mostly stainless steel and were covered in hand/finger prints which makes you question the housekeepers workmanship.
The driveway gate, which operates with a remote control has a strange habit of not working in the early morning, but works fine during the day and in the evening. We had to let ourselves out manually every morning. Go figure.
Finally, the well watered lawn is a fantastic breeding ground for mosquitos. We had to buy bug spray to sit outside and enjoy the day. If it was my property I'd turn it into rocks and cactus.
All in all, Villa Roger is a terrific property and great location but I don't think anyone is really looking after it as well at they need to be. With some better upkeep the experience would have been 5*
